The Cast:
Me (Matt) 42, though young at heart!
DW (Claire) 41, and ditto
DS11 (Samuel), already a teenager!
DS9 (Tommy), daredevil coaster rider!
and Nanny!
Just a quick report today, as it's just a day of Shopping at the Florida Mall.
The days starts with breakfast at Golden Corral. At $39 for the five of us, including drinks, it's pretty good value, especially as DS11 appears to have developed hollow legs, and eats and eats and eats until he can eat no more. I don't do so bad myself, though we both draw the line at the desserts that are on offer (Banoffee Pie for breakfast? that's just not right!).
On to the Florida Mall, and we spend a few hours just wandering, with the odd purchase here and there (I get a couple of tee-shirts from Tommy's Island, DW gets some Philosophy stuff from Sephora, and Nanny manages to find a digital camera with an International guarantee).
Having exhausted the Mall, we head to Walmart, where Nanny is blown away by the scale of things! I can't even remember what we bought here, but I'm pretty sure the kids managed to acquire a DS game or two each.
DW doesn't do seafood, but she's agreed to a trip to Red Lobster, as the rest of us very much do do seafood! We get a table very close to the lobster tank, and the kids enjoy watching them all whilst we wait for our food. The cheese biscuit things that come out before our food are gorgeous, and I could probably make do with just some more of them, but there is so much other stuff on offer! We end up with:
Me: Admiral's Feast
DW: Chicken Salad (see, no seafood!)
DS11: Popcorn Shrimp
DS9: Ditto
Nanny: Shrimp Trio
$85 with drinks and tip, and a very nice meal all round, though in fairness to my DW, the menu is VERY limited for someone who cannot eat seafood, so I doubt we'll be back.
