Here's the lanyard Monica is looking to do (it will have the plastic pocket too). Trying to have final count by JULY 12th.



Keisha, these are slim and very comfortable to wear. If you are looking for the fatter ones that can hold pins, they are available on the ship (and in the terminal...but wait till you are on the ship and you don't pay tax).

Heck, my family is celebrating a whole YEAR's worth of stuff on this cruise! Two 50th birthdays, a 60th birthday, a wedding and two retirements (I think big sis has decided to call herself 'officially' retired ).

LANYARDS.....PM mishoe01 with the number you need!

(I don't think lanyards are on the SURVEY on page one). Be sure and look at/take the SURVEY listed on page one for FE, Shots Around the Ship, Champagne girls, walking on water DIS events.

Lanyards and FE are the most importent to take care of NOW as these require ordering things in advance.

Kathy, have you checked to see if DCLis offering FL resident rates for this cruise?

I read recently that they (DCL) don't always list FL rates availability on the website and know of a DISer who got one because the CALLED and checked! (Monica, did you know that?)

I did check online last week, but they were still not there. DU should also be keeping an eye out for me (but I still keep checking!)

I would think not. We didn't have lanyards on our first cruise and our kids never carried their cards. They didn't have charging privileges nor were they allowed to check themselves out of the clubs so they never needed their cards.

I am wondering whether to get my kids lanyards for this trip, more as a momento than a functional item.

Some of the times both your kids will be in the club together but sometimes the older group heads to the lab. (You son will be in the 3-5 yo group, your daughter in the 5-7 y/o's)

My daughter will be 5 on this trip and will be in the same age group as your daughter ( I know she is a couple of years younger, but she is happy playing with older girls too).

I think there are a few other kids from the dis on this cruise - take a look at the roll call on page 1.

I believe MickeyOCD has a girl and boy close to those ages. She has posted recently, so maybe she'll be popping in soon. You can always take a look at Page One and check out the list of cruisers. (Jan will be adding you to page one soon I'm sure.) Look for names with an * in front...as those are cruisers who have at least checked in since we started this thread...the others posted long ago and we haven't heard back from them.

HAPPY BELATED 4TH OF JULY!!

I'm back from a glorious weekend in Turks & Caicos! I have found a new favourite beach! Grace Bay Beach is GORGEOUS!!! OMG!!

It was hot as Hades but really glad I got to go.
Did exactly what I planned on doing - sat on the beach, looked out at the water & read.


Kathy & Keisha - have you guys down for the lanyards.

The events covered by this survey/collector are:

• DIS Meet-up/Dinner at Fishlips the night before the cruise
• Fish Extenders
• Shots Around the Ship, A Stem to Stern Extravaganza
• Walking on Water, Keeping Healthy at Sea
