It cost the three of us around $840 for 7 days on the plan (Myself, my 10 year old son and my husband (son's step-father)). I just added up my receipts and we spent $1,100.78 on food, not including appetizers, wine and tip not included in the plan. I'm sure we could have budgeted and made do with less quality food for less money but I liked not having to cook and taking a sit-down break every day. Would I do it again? Not sure at this point. But I have no complaints about the plan!
Some tips:
1) At TS restaurants, we couldn't use the plan to purchase bottled drinks or speciality drinks, with the exception of 50's Prime Time Cafe, where most of the milkshakes are allowed as a beverage on the plan. Most meals I had wine and a glass of water with my meal, then saved coffee for dessert. Coffee counted as a beverage at every TS restaurant we went to.
2) Most counter service restaurants allowed us to purchase bottled drinks on the plan (water, juice).
3) Wolfgang Puck's Express at DTD allows call-ahead to go service. We stayed at FW cabins; FW doesn't have a very good QS restaurant. Our plan was to sleep in the next morning but we wouldn't have anything to eat until dinner that evening. So, we ordered dinner to go for that night, plus three more meals for the next day, and gave them our DDP number over the telephone, just like you would a CC number. My husband was able to pick up the 6 QS meals at one time. This worked out great for us!
4) One QS restaurant at DHS was listed on the schedule as open until 7:00 pm but closed before 6:00 pm!! This left the only QS dinner option at Min and Bill's, which is not a great use of a QS credit. That being said, it fit the bill for us that evening so my advice is to not worry too much if plans go awry and you can't maximize your credits. We still saved money in the end.
All in all, we had a great trip!
