Just found your PTR and am enjoying it so far! I LOVE your planning stuff! Would kill to get a peek inside that binder....

Welcome to our PTR... We are glad you joined us for our journey... Just a piece of advice - you do not want to see that binder.. It is radioactive, and will create visions in your head while you are sleeping... :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Are we that predictable?? How did you both do that?

I wouldn't say made OF money, but you do a decent job of MAKING money...

Yes we are staying AKL... :cloud9: I am so freaking excited... :banana: We were only able to get it for the 1st 11 nights of our vacation so we are moving to ASMo for the last 2 nights... I will keep watching to see if any rooms come open for our last 2 nights at AKL... We reserved a Pool View Bunk Bed room... I, for a second, thought about savannah view but then I would have to sell one of the kids... :lmao: I have always wanted to stay there, we have only ever stayed at values... We are cool with staying at ASMo though, we stayed there last year...

So, has anyone stayed at AKL? Got any Pictures you wanna post???

I Did! I Do! :banana::banana::banana: I'm so excited for you!!!! :banana::banana::banana: The bananas can't stop dancing! AKL is amazing!

I think I have pool pics, but I don't see them right now, and I have to run a couple of errands, I'll look later! Again, congrats on the move!

MAGICFOR2...

Thank you for posting those!!! I am so excited and have no one to tell... The kids do not know yet, not sure when or if we will tell them at all...

*** Okay one more announcement... I found a DVC member to rent points from, so for the last 2 nights we will not be at All Star Movies... We will be in a studio standard view at AKV Kidani Village... And it was only 40 dollars more that the value resort stay...
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
:cool1::cool1::cool1:
:banana::banana::banana:
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
:yay::yay::yay:

Can anyone tell that I am super excited...

T N T,

Check out KatGarcia. she has a PTR going. She rented points at BWV in Feb 08 and had a few issues. It all worked out, but just a little nerve racking. Tell her I sent you over....

I just had a hunch about AKL...It's a beautiful resort.

Will do... Thanks for the heads up... We are entering new territory so any help is much appreciated... I can't believe you guessed right so quickly... Of all the resorts to choose, you pick AKL... We checked it out, and cannot wait!!! We are used to the Value Resorts... I still cannot believe we will be staying Deluxe for this trip :banana::banana::banana:

You're welcome! Yeah for the extra nights! I'm sure it will work out fine, you just have to be careful like Jordan said.

Oh, and tell OregonDaddyof2 that I looked at his flickr pics - really great! Can't wait to see what he takes while lugging all that equipment around!:rotfl2:

Thanks MagicFor2... I am hoping for better pics this time around... I have done a lot of research on my camera and somewhat understand it now... We will both have to wait and see what kind of pics I get this time... :scared1:

Now that we have shown the clothing items we have for our trip, now lets talk other stuff! Are you ready for this Stuff??? :scared1:

Since we are staying for 14 days, we are taking some juice and snacks, and since the last 2 nights will be in a DVC room, we will have a kitchenette, so we are going to try to eat in room...

I guess my guess of AKL was just a hunch. It just fit you guys for some reason...

The pics of the over the door hanger....:thumbsup2 and :scared1: at the same time. I guess travelling with 2 kids forces one to be uber organized. It's much different when you're just packing for you........

Crazy! Now, not only will we be there at the same time, now we're going to be at the same resort!!

Congrats on getting to stay at AKL!!

That is an impressive collection of stuff for the trip!! Where did you get the Pez dispensers? I never have had to look for stuff like that before but since we are taking kids this time I have to get all that stuff don't I? :rotfl:

Wow, that is A LOT of stuff! :scared1: My "to buy" list is pitifully short compared to that :rotfl2: Niiiiice camera - I'm really looking forward to seeing the awesome pictures you'll come home with! :goodvibes WTG on the upgrade - how exciting to get to stay at AKL and AKV! :banana::banana:

Jordan, I think I must be uber-UNDERorganized. I have two children and I'm not bringing even 1/4 of that! I better do some rethinking of my "to buy" and packing lists... :scratchin

I've got 3 and I don't bring near that much either! We're experts at traveling light. We've found it cheaper to have toiletries and snacks delivered rather than paying checked bag fees to tote them along from home. We'll pack a bag with hairbrushes, ponytail holders, my contacts, and things like that, but all the sunscreen and shampoo and wet wipes will meet us in Florida courtesy of Wegoshop. :goodvibes

I will begin reviewing my lists.......and dream of Target travel aisle...

With the bags charges, it's better to pack light...I still haven't learned that lesson.....:confused3

Actually, the way we have done it saved us a ton of money... All of that stuff we bought will fit into 1 suitcase (we are experts at packing a suitcase to the limit :thumbsup2)... It costs us $15 each way to check the bag at the airport... You have to remember that in Oregon, we pay a lot less for stuff, and we have no sales tax.... We originally thought about doing Garden Grocer and having these things delivered to the resort, but after doing a price comparison, there was no way that it would be cost efficient... For example...

  • Capri Sun Drinks - We paid $1.97, GG was $3.79
  • Pop Tarts - We paid $.99, GG was $2.69
  • Cereal Fun pack - We paid $2.49, GG was $4.19
  • Fruit Snacks - We paid $1.49, GG was $2.99
  • Sunblock - We paid $12.99 at Costco for 2 bottles of spray and a face stick, GG was $9.99 for a single bottle of spray... (We bought 6 bottles of sunscreen spray with 3 face sticks for a total of $39, where GG would have been over $60 just for the spray...

Just buying the sunscreen alone, we saved well over the $15 check fee, not to mention that we didn't have a sales tax on anything, and we would have been charged the 7% down there... And once the bag gets dropped off at my airport, it will be delivered to the room... If we would be staying in a Villa the whole visit, we would have thought more about it cause we would want perishable items like produce, but since all the stuff we will be bringing is packaged and sealed, we figured this was the better route...

Besides, with my wife having her OCDPD :lmao: she would never have anyone else take care of purchasing stuff for the trip...

On the way home, if we have souvenirs to bring, we have an empty suitcase and can spend the other $15 to check it, otherwise, we will put the medium sized suitcase filled with clothes into the large size and not have to check it on the way home...

You are not UNDERorganized, you just don't suffer from her planning disorder :rotfl2:
