Sept trip-too early for Hotwire MCO Hyatt?

I've checked Hotwire several times now and it seems like it is the Renaissance that keeps coming up (only 1 hotel with my specifications). Has anyone had any luck with the Hyatt for September yet?

I have a total of 5 rooms for September 25th at the MCO Hyatt. When I went to check for another there were none to be had, so it might be hit or miss. I would keep trying every few days.

Good Luck

It is always hit or miss with the Hyatt.....we tried for months to get the night before our January 7 day and the Hyatt never came up. We had opted to purchase the Hyatt Stay Certificate for $134 from their website and used that. It was better than paying the rack rate.

I think a Friday can be tough to get. It seems the night before the 3 or 4 day cruises come up more frequently.

I'm waiting for Sept 19 to open up. I read somewhere that they usually come up about 2 months before, but who knows.

I got 2 rooms for Sept 4 (Fri, Labor Day weekend no less!) about a month ago, definitely hit or miss. I would check, get the Hyatt, go get my credit card, refresh (5 min later) and it wouldn't be there! Hit refresh again, there it was. It can change within minutes so if you're surfing the web even on here or whatever, just refresh the screen every now and then.

I have Sept. 18th booked for our precruise night. I booked 2 rooms-seperately. I had to play around with it until I finally got the 140+reviews on it. I think I found it when I did 2 adults for each and then I called and told them I needed 2 queens.

Good luck, hope that helps.

For Sept. 19th, I found the Hyatt on Hotwire for $73.00. I found it when I tried 2 adults and 1 child.

I booked for the 18th of Sept. at the Hyatt last month... it showed up on Sat. the 16th, but when I'd go to submit the payment it kept telling me that there was a problem with the computers and to check back later... I tried all night and had no luck. So, I tried again on Sun. the 17th and finally got it! I'm booked as 1 adult... I'd previously been on the watch for 3 months (ever since I cancelled the Disney airfare) and hadn't seen it turn up. Just keep watching! Good luck! ;)

I got it! Thank you hannahguad, for giving me that hint of putting 2 adults and 1 child in. That's what worked, and it was for $73.00 also. I would never have thought of doing that, so I am thrilled. Thanks again!

When you look on hotwire, are you bidding or just choosing the hotel? I am pretty sure you'd have to just choose it, but I wanted to make sure since I know we can be a resourceful bunch. :)

Also when booking at the Hyatt, do you have to tell them it's for a pre-cruise stay or can you just go over to desk and check-in for the cruise in the morning?

It will only show it is the Hyatt that you got after you actually purchase....but there are some key tips to know it is the Hyatt beforehand....like the TripAdvisor reviews of 140+, airport shuttle, etc.

It is posted on one of the threads what to look for exactly to know it is the Hyatt and not another hotel.

It worked for me too! Thanks for the tip! But what happens when we check in, and we only have 2 adults, no child? Has anyone else done this?

I haven't had any luck with our August pre-cruise night either. I'll keep trying!
