Wolfgang Puck Cafe/Express - Confused...

I saw a photo from someone of a menu board that said "Wolfgang Puck." I assumed it was a CS because of the menu board, but several things on the menu looked different than the Wolfgang Puck Express menu I saw on AllEars...

I thought the menu looked like the WPC menu on All Ears, but I thought WPC was a TS and didn't know why it had a CS type menu... WPE appeals to me because of it counting as a CS on the DDP, but I like some of the menu items that were in the photo of the menu board... I just want to know if those are things AllEars just didn't list yet on the WPE menu, or if those really are for the WPC. Does WPC have a menu board like most CS restaurants have?

I'm pretty sure there are 2 locations. One is in DTD Market Place-at least that's what we call it- over by the Art of Disney Store.

Other location is on the West Side, near the movies theatre, etc.

Oh... you mean 2 WPE's? That could explain it... different menus but both CS's on the DDP?

There are two locations for WPE, both are counter service on the DDP. We ate at the WPE in the DTD Marketplace last week. Very good food, but extremely pricey if you're not on the DDP (DH & I total was $48.00! and DD & her BFF was $39.00...that's for lunch, no less.)

Allears.net is a great resource, but do not count on the menus being accurate, even if they say they were updated yesterday. We are working our way through all the Disney restaurants...so far have not found a single allears.net menu which matches what was actually available. Even when we went the same month the menu claimed to be updated.

Our rule of thumb is to use the allears.net menus to get a general idea of the types of foods offered at that restaurant...and a general idea of the prices to expect.

I just looked over the WPE menu for Market Place location on Allears.net, dated 3/2009, to see if I could spot any changes. The only one I'm sure of was the chicken bolognese under pasta dishes is no longer available...they replaced it with a beef bolognese dish (DH had that- very garlicky, he loved it) I had the rigatoni chicken alfredo, and DD had roasted vegetable pizza, her BFF had chinois chicken salad - so I can tell you those were all on the menu as of last week.

Thanks for the heads up!

Just wanted to clarify for you. At Downtown Disney there is a Wolfgang Puck Express located in the Marketplace Section that is a Quick Service Dining Location.

At the other end of Downtown Disney (West Side) by the House of Blues is the Wolfgang Puck Cafe. This is a Table Service Dining location.

The menus are different for the two places. Food is very good at both, but they are different types of places.

That being said, the Wolfgang Puck Express is the BEST Quick Service place to eat in all of Disney World. If you are on the Dining Plan, you should definitely check it out!

To further clarify, there are 2 WPEs in DTD. One is located in the Marketplace and has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the other is on the West Side, attached to Wolfgang Puck Cafe (the TS) This WGE is also CS, like the Marketplace WPE, but it only has limited outdoor seating.

My friend and I went to the WPE at the Marketplace last night.. It was a counter service and they had Salmon on the menu last night which was really good. The menus are not up to date and we were surprised a 17.00 meal drink and dessert was considered a counter service. Very good.
Thanks again Susan

There are two CS Wolfgang Pucks, one in Marketplace and one in Westside. The two menus are very different from each other. We've eaten at both and loved them both. At the Marketplace there are more 'full meal' like Meatloaf and Pasta Alfredo items on the menu. At Westside it's mostly Sandwiches and Pizzas. Both have different desserts on offer as well.
