Snack credits for Breakfast

I have read multiple suggestions of using snack credits for Breakfast .....

For each park, can you give me 1 or 2 names where (ex> main stree bakery in MK) I can use snack credit for items that can be considered breakfast.

I really do not want to use a TS for breakfast, except maybe for breakfast at Princess Storybook (norway in epcot) or donalds safari (AK).

MK - Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Rolls, etc.
DH - Starring Rolls

What about Animal Kingdom and Epcot?

What are good breakfast items used as snack credits..?

most resorts have multiple bakery items available for one snack credit - we've gotten choc. chip croissants, extra large muffins (blueberry were very good) and apple turnovers.

In Epcot, we got school bread and sweet almond pretzels at Kringla Bakery in Norway...delicious. There's also a lot of pastries at the bakery in France.

We usually take a break back at the hotel in the afternoon, so we'd stop at a park bakery (or the resort bakery/dessert area) and use our snack credits to buy the next day's breakfast...that works better than trying to carry pastries around the park all day/evening. And if you wait until the end of the night, a lot of the items will be sold out at the park bakeries so that doesn't work well either.

Make sure you pack several large ziplock bags if you're buying the day before because the pastry to-go boxes are not airtight. Pop them in the ziplock & they'll be fresh for breakfast.

Catne: Great tip about purchasing breakfast items for the next AM on the way out in the afternoon day before! That sure beats trying to find a place after dark and also lugging around! Thanks! ;)

You're welcome -- took us several trips to get that routine down pat! Works great for us -- we eat in the room in the morning while taking turns with the shower & such. Make coffee in the room & have our pastry - we're not wanting a large breakfast when we're heading to a roller coaster first thing! And this way, we can hit the park running (well, walking fast, lol) and not have to stop for breakfast.

Just remember to pack your ziplock bags to keep the pastries fresh...first time we did this, we just popped the pastry boxes in the fridge. Still tasty the next a.m., but getting stale & drying out. Have used the bags ever since, and no more dried out pastry.

We like snacks so we save snack credits for true snacks.

Breakfast is a meal, use a CS credit and share the meal. You get 2 beverages for breakfast for a CS meal. Two bottled drinks, breakfast sandwich and pastry would be a breakfast at Main Street, plenty to share. You'd need 4 snack credits to get those items a la carte.

Making notes as I type...thanks again! :surfweb:

We aren't big breakfast people...and we do like to use our snacks...

We bring (driving) boxes of muffins, grits, oatmeal, etc. and eat breakfast in the room.

That 'saves' our Snacks for cokes, popcorn, icecream, etc. in the park....

We eat right when we get up ....then usually plan a fairly early CS lunch...which is usually more lunch than we would eat if at home....

Saving TS for "Family Traditions"....

As for Snack Breakfasts...our last visits have been BC and the Marketplace offers plenty of selections for Snack Breakfasts...I'm sure every resort has wonderful snack b'fast choices.

I've learned not to leave the resort without "Something" in the kids tummies(whether they were 6 or 16)....even the odd times we are heading straight to 'Ohana's for Character B'fast... I still make sure everyone has had Something from the room....

Have a magical trip!

We use snack credits in the morning for cereal. For one snack credit you get a container of cereal AND a carton of milk. My kids like to eat cereal for breakfast so this works out well.

There is an amazing snack thread at the top of this page. It lists the snacks available with a credit. It is very organized and everything is categorized according to park/resort and then according to restaurant. You can read through it and find all of the things that you would enjoy for breakfast.

We eat at Pop Century food court but this could be done at most any resort. You can get a great blueberry muffin with a single SC and then use your refillable mug for a beverage.

At the resort you can also get toast or oatmeal.

I prefer to bring items from home and save my snack credits for snacks! I pack granola/cereal bars, oatmeal pkgs (food court has hot water), applesauce cups.

This year I'm bring a box of Cheerios and will get some milk at the resort for breakfast. Last year we wasted so much time in the morning as my niece couldn't eat any of the food I packed (lactose intollerant) so we went to the food court and had to wait for her breakfast to be made each morning.
