OK, ADR window opens May 21-Yay, I don't have to work that day-now I just have to figure out how to get the kids to the bus at 7am....

Anyway, here's the plan-
Arrive August 19 at 2:33pm-head to ASMovies
Attempt ADR at Crystal Palace-6:30pm?
August 20 AK, Boma at 6:30pm
August 21 MK, Ohana with husbands friends...ADR at 6ish?
August 22 Epcot-LeCellier for lunch or dinner
August 23 Studios-MM Fantasmic! dinner pkg
August 24 Water Park-WCC for dinner
August 25 ??? park, 1900 Park Fare for dinner
August 26 go back home
Somewhere in there we need to hit WPE at least once, if not twice.

Hey, we arrive the same day! I am at POP, arriving around noon. I have decided not to push our first day (my kids are 5&3), so we are doing 1900 park Fare the first night. Figure my two will want to wear their princess dresses, so we wont have to lug them anywhere. But your plans sound fun - and I second the plan to have backups, just in case. Have fun, maybe we will see you in passing and never know it LOL

My daughter is pretty sure she is too cool for princess dresses, so we won't be sporting any of those. We did POP last fall-it was very fun, but now my husband thinks we should try something new. He's actually talking about saving for Wilderness Lodge someday. I think someone stole my husband and brought me a new one in the night

I hope that 1900 Park Fare is good. It gets such mixed reviews here, but we're not too picky, so I'm sure we'll find something we like!

I think we better bring our buffet pants....there are way too many all you can eat places on that list, but what the husband wants......

I am trying not to freak out too much - just a little - about the adrs. Kinda hoping on-line is up and running by next week - I think it might be easier to use. However, the flip side of the coin would be glitches in the system.

If it makes you feel better, our wish list for adrs does not have one of yours! We are looking more towards 2 charachter meals, DTD and Biergarten

Coming with two children (three if you count my hubby ). It is our first trip for my five year old daughter and 22 month old son - although my hubby and I haven't been there in years either.

What time are you arriving? We are flying out of PHL and will arrive at MCO at 1:45ish. Not looking forward to a 2 hour flight with a 22 month old.

Hopefully my hubby will catch the spirit - although I was surprised when he said yes to this year - we had actually had planned on 2010

We are scheduled to touch down at 2:33pm. Direct flight from Detroit. My husband has to work the night before and then we have a 2.5 hour drive to the airport before the plane takes off. If you see a guy who looks like this or this , that'll be us! You should be all checked in and ready to go by the time we arrive, though! Here's hoping for no hurricanes

Oh, if you only knew...
It's actually his best friend from high school and his wife. Does your husband get all weird with old high school buddies-I really don't quite love it when they get together
Actually, they were supposed to come and visit us last year when we were in Disney, but they no showed because they got busy doing work in their kitchen-HELLO, we live 24 hours away, and you couldn't stop work to come hang out with us for a night. I also was mad because I didn't get to see Fantasmic because they were coming that night and when they didn't show there wasn't time to get back to the Studios....Oh wait, but I'm not bitter or anything.

They are actually contemplating coming to spend the day with us at the Magic Kingdom. My husband has already warned him that a day with me at Disney does NOT mean wander around aimlessly for 4 hours-you must have a PLAN. Oh wait, but I'm not neurotic or anything

Someday I'll have to explain why this friend of HIS had to move out of MY house because of an argument about dryer lint, but that is a whole 'nuther thread!

OK, I just checked the crowd calendar for August, and either I am a complete idiot, or they changed the recommended days since I made this lovely plan! Here is major revision #1
I think we'll still hit MK on Wednesday
Thursday is still OK at AK
Friday is now avoid MK, so we'll head to Epcot.
Saturday is now avoid Epcot, so we go to MK.
Studios are avoid just about everyday, including Sunday, so we'll just have to go and tough it out...gotta see Fantasmic at least once!

The biggest kicker is that DH just talked to said "friend" and now they will maybe come join us for not just one evening, but 2 WHOLE DAYS!!!!!
Wait a minute! This is MY vacation, and NO they cannot just crash on our floor for the night. Someone please help me!!!

Sounds like you need to talk to DH and friends need to get their own room, pronto. Good luck with keeping your distance, so sorry someone is encroaching. Maybe you can "take the kids back for the swim" while they hang out?

Yep - they changed the crowd calendar - I had saved it from earlier in the month and just got the revised predictions Saturday. I did not change my plan yet... Doing AK on Thursday, MK on Friday, EP on Saturday and MK again on Sunday. Tempted to switch Friday and Saturday but I can't see doing MK back to back.

Our call in day is Thursday, I am getting nervous after reading other's experiences on the boards. Do you think it will be as crazy busy as today was?

No advice about your husband's friends - only want to add that it is your vacation and that means family time.

I am crossing my fingers and praying for pixie dust that Thursday will not be anywhere nearly as crazy as today.

We went Wednesday to Wednesday last year and did not have a terrible time with ADR's. I do know that I couldn't get Ohana except for very late and then they added early dinners, so we jumped on it. We'll see what Thursday brings!
