"Mommy, When Will It Be Our Turn?!"--May 16-23, 2009 PTR

Oh, and about Ally's backpack...I assume that is stuff for the plane? If she hasn't seen it yet, here's an idea. Each time we fly I pack some surprises in Macy's backpack (she chooses the notebook and markers she wants and this time which AG magazines and books to bring) and she can't open it until we get up in the air. I even make her wait through the take-off. We have to be at cruising altitude! Then she's so excited to open it up and see the new stuff. It holds her attention throughout the flight. Now Bailey on the other hand is a whole nother story. I spend most of my time telling her to be quieter and whisper. I'm always saying, "Shhhh. Airplanes are like church. You have to be quiet. Shhhh." It's a broken record. LOL

This time one of her surprises is a package of pipe cleaners and a package of beads that can be strung on them. I figured she could make bracelets, necklaces, or other stuff. She likes crafty things. We also have some of those travel Aquadoodle mats and color pages. They're not new this time, but we pretty much only use them when we fly so hopefully they will still be exciting this time.

Yes--Claire is another story, too!! She usually does pretty well on plane rides. She has flown twice--last summer to Charleston and last Christmas to New Jersey. I'm hoping the plane isn't too full so maybe she can have a seat to herself. Now that she's older I'm hoping she can sit still--I guess we'll see!

Yes--Claire is another story, too!! She usually does pretty well on plane rides. She has flown twice--last summer to Charleston and last Christmas to New Jersey. I'm hoping the plane isn't too full so maybe she can have a seat to herself. Now that she's older I'm hoping she can sit still--I guess we'll see!

Having her own seat should help a lot. We didn't buy Bailey a seat until she turned 2. But once we started, it has been a lot easier. Also, I always book our seats with two in front of two. Bailey and I sit behind dh and Macy. That way the only seat Bailey can kick is Macy's! I'm counting on books, stickers, and snacks to get me through this flight. Bailey loves to just peel stickers off and put them on paper. Very random...she doesn't care what kind of stickers. That will usually keep her happy for a little while. And she's really been into her little mini board books lately, especially the ones with flaps you can lift. So I'm packing some of those she hasn't seen in a while and hoping they'll seem new and exciting to her!

I didn't buy a seat for Claire. I'm just hoping there is an empty seat near us. When we flew home from NJ after Christmas Brent had an empty seat next to him and they didn't mind that we let Claire sit there. She did soooo well sitting in her own seat. Normally she's all over my lap or Brent's. A lot of times Brent gets upgraded to First Class b/c he is Platinum Elite (he travels a lot for his job). So he takes Claire with him since he gets to sit in a nicer part of the plane. I will probably bring some crayons for Claire--she loves to color!!

Hi Becky! I did the same exact thing with the girls clothes and I have the extra clothes and bathing suits bags too.

Only 1 more day!!! I'm hoping we will run into you around the castle on Monday! If we have time we will try to make it the Poly but it will be close.

Oh my goodness! You leave tomorrow! I love how organized you are. I think that I mentally decide what myself and my DD are wearing each day, but I change my mind a lot! In Jan, we wore a lot of Disney t-shirts, but that probably will change for our June trip. It's too hot (for me) to wear actual t-shirts. It will be lots of tanks and halters on this trip!

P.S. I used to go to MOPS! I loved it and so did my DD. I was on our creative team for 2 years. Enjoy your meeting today!

I know!! I cannot believe it! I've been planning this trip since November and it's finally time to go!!!

I love my MOPS group! I've been a member for several years. Today was our last meeting of the year (and Ally's last as a Moppet!!).
