OK girlies, I know September 2008 seems like a dim and distant memory. And I also know that things are pretty tight for most people right now which is why I've waited so long to post this.

I just thought I would post a thread to get an idea of who would be interested in another girly weekend, whether you think we might be better waiting and trying to do something early next year instead of this September/October time and to get a general idea of what people's feelings are on it.

Also, since I'm posting anyway, I was thinking that Bristol or Oxford might be possible locations for the next weekend away. However, if anyone has any other suggestions feel free to post them. Going back to Birmingham might be good, too, as the 2007 girly weekend was great - I think we all really enjoyed Brum :thumbsup2

So, girlies, post away and tell me what you think.

im in for whatever suits the majority :thumbsup2 the girly weekends have been such a laugh in the past

I would be up for a weekend away. Birmingham, Oxford or Bristol (or even back to Cardiff) would be good for me ::yes::

I can totally appreciate that times are hard, so I can imagine that we won't get as many as last time, but if possible, I would love it to be in September - especially as a few of the regulars are going away in October

So, I am a definite, the Girly Weekends are too much fun to miss :)

I would love to join you this year! I have heard Chester is a lovely place!

I would absolutely love to join in (and not cancel at the last minute!!! :faint: :sad2: :headache:) BUT I'm away from September 9 -27!!! :scared1:

Is there any chance it could be the first weekend in September??? Or could we go crazy and maybe have two for those that are up for it - one in September and one in Jan/Feb???

I would love to come...however it will depend on when it is as we are away in September.

It would be nice to finally meet some of my online friends. :rotfl2:

It would be lovely to finally meet you too Claire ~ let us know what weekends in September you're available :)

Personally, I would love to go back to Birmingham. Everything was so close and convenient, within walking distance, and the hotel we stayed at was pretty good too.

I could do the first weekend in September :thumbsup2

I am away from the 6th to the 29th! Don't arrange it just to suit me though, I don't want to be a pain. :guilty:

Birmingham

I was just having a quick look at the hotels and prices for 4th/6th Sept (just to give us an idea)

Hyatt (where we stayed last time/near Broad Street)
http://birmingham.regency.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp

Currently 87.20 (per twin room, per night)

Crowne Plaza (near Mailbox)
http://www.crowneplaza.com/h/d/cp/9...telsearchresults&rpb=hotel&_requestid=2310154

Currently 77.00 (per twin room, per night)

Ramada (in Mailbox)
http://www.ramadabirminghamcity.co.uk/RunScript.asp?page=36&p=ASP\Pg36.asp

Currently 60.00 (per twin room, per night)

Thanks for the suggestions so far. What we need is hotels that are a short walk (or taxi ride) to the town, that is also close to bars/restaurants/clubs for the evening

I personally don't know Chester, but if you know of a hotel that fits with the above, then could you post a link ? :)

It will also preferably be somewhere that someone can pop to, to make deposits for lunch/dinner
