My mom needs a princess fix! Help, please!

We're not going until December, but this time my parents are coming with us . On our last trip, we didn't see a single princess :sad2:(neither of my boys were interested). However, my mom loves the princesses, especially Cinderella. We'll be on the DDP.

So, with two boys who will be disinterested in princesses, would it be better to go to a 1TS meal at Akershus so my mom and I can see the princesses, and then go to either the 2TS Hoop De Doo or BBQ, or would it be better to skip the dinner show and try for 2 TS CRT as I have heard it is much better?

I really want my mom to get to see the princesses, as this is her first WDW trip since MK in 1982. On the other hand, I don't want everyone everyone else to be bored...

Help, advice please, from some of you who have been to these places!

Norway is great for a princess fix and it is only 1TS credit. I am sure that the boys can make it through one meal.
Another really nice buffet meal is the dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the GF. Dinner is Cinderella, Prince Charming, the evil step mom and the two step sisters. This is one of out fav's even though it is only one princess. The magic of Prince Charming is awesome:goodvibes

Thanks for the idea, and I think she'd really enjoy that! This is only our second trip...what is the best way to get to GF? Is that one of the monorail resorts? If so, that would kill two birds with one stone as I think both boys would love to ride the monorail.

Akerhaus is unlikely to have Cinderella. If that's your mom's "must have" princess, I second the idea of 1900 Park Fare. The boys can ham it up with the step-sisters, who I'm sure will love to play it up if they find any non-Cindy fans in the room.

Yes...it is one of the monorail resorts. I like taking our resort bus to the Magic Kingdom and then getting on the Monorail. Since it is the beginning of the loop the GF is the last stop so you will get a good ride. When you get to the Monorail line ask a CM if nobody is sitting up front could you. The view from the conductor's car is out of this world!:thumbsup2

Thanks disneynuts777 and Faldred...I think we have a winner! I appreciate the help :thumbsup2

Another option might be you and your mom going for a princess meal and letting the boys go do something else...

Consider paying out of pocket for breakfast at the Castle for just you and your mom, let the boys sleep in and join you later.

I was going to suggest 1900 Park Fare too. Your boys will probably like the step sisters...they were pretty funny. Cinderella is there for dinner so don't go for breakfast...that will be Alice in Wonderland. ;)

Yet another good idea...thanks! I think I'd like to see their reactions to the prince and stepsisters, and the boys will love to ride the monorail to GF. I aslo like the idea of a girls night out...decisions, decisions  I'll have to ponder, so (I guess) it's good that I can't make ADRs until Sept!

Thanks, everyone!

1900 Park Fare is is wonderful if her favorite is Cinderella! She will also get to see Prince Charming and the step mother and sisters are a real hoot and put on a great show. Not to mention it only takes 1TS! My son(6) enjoyed this meal and even got to dance with Cinderella!
