We are using the basic DDP. Our first time. I am pretty sure I have it all down but wanted to ask two things.
one~ if I want an appetizer or salad instead of an entree, is that allowed?
two~ DS is 13 so a Disney adult. I know he can order from the kids menu if he wants, but can he order entree from kids menu and dessert from adult menu?

Thanks!

As far as I can tell, this is not allowed. I don't think prohibiting it makes sense, and you may have luck at a specific restaurant, but I believe the general policy prohibits it.

I see no reason why this should be a problem -- it's still an entree and a dessert, and you're using an adult TS credit for it, so everything should be fine.

Thanks for the response. I figured it probably wasn't. I will just pay OOP for a salad then. I am pregnant and that is what I seem to be craving lately.

Hop over to Pepper Market at CSR. They have a great Chef Salad. When staying at ASMu last year we'd stop by and get them to go plus its considered CS. At WL the Skillet offers all you can eat salad with it so you could ask the server to bring you a larger amount. Love the apple vingarette. Same with Ohana. I don't understand why more Disney Restaurants don't offer entree size salads especially after a hot day.

The rule is no appetizer for dessert I can't see why they wouldn't let you have an appetizer instead of a entre.

From what I am aware of, you can substitute an appetizer for an entree, just not an appetizer for a dessert.

So if you wanted a crab cake appetizer for your meal instead of a huge steak and potato, I believe you are allowed to do this (I was on our last trip in 07, but maybe someone who has done it more recently can chime in).

Just in case you, if you meant to type "can I substitute an appetizer AND a salad for an entree"---the answer to that would be no. :goodvibes

Hope that helps!

Thank you all. I guess the only thing to do is ask while I am there. I can remember looking at all the menus and the food pics, choosing where to eat. Drooling over the yummy food. I am 9 weeks pregnant and really only want to eat salad lately. Hopefully I will be over that by time I get to Disney! 18 days to go!!!:cool1:
