I am having a really hard time choosing which restaurants to go to on our vacation. I end up with a list that I think is great and then change my mind.
I'll let you know a little about our family 1st: Me, I'm not picky I just want to make sure everyone is happy, DH, is a chef and loves to try new exciting things, and then there is DD4 and DS2, they're used to going out to eat alot and behave well and will eat just about anything. We are going during free dining and need to choose 10 TS, here is some of the ones I think would be neat:
Chef Mickey's Dinner*
Garden Grill Dinner
Akershus Princess Dinner
Cinderellas Happily Ever After Dinner @ 1900 Park Fare*
Cystal Palace dinner
Ohana dinner
Tusker House Breakfast or Dinner
Garden Grill Dinner
Chefs De France
Boma breakfast*
Coral Reef dinner
Whispering Canyon Dinner
Le Cellier dinner*
Teppan Edo
*= definately doing

Thanks for the help!!!

of your list you had defiantely doing on the fe I would suggest first.

But I would add Whispering Canyon for breakfast to that.
(i've never done dinner there)
It's alot of fun for kids. and the food is good as well.

I really think most restaurants are good for kids at WDW - especially if they are well behaved. Your list looks fine. I always think of it this way - if I can't fit a restaurant in this trip - I will just plan it for next trip. :) Good luck.

Are you looking for character meals for the kids? If so, I'd recommend:

Crystal Palace breakfast or dinner
Ohana breakfast AND dinner
Chef Mickey's breakast or dinner
Akershus lunch or dinner (we've only done lunch here but loved it!)
1900 Park Fare breakfast and dinner

As for the others, Whispering Canyon was just ok for us, food was blah but it is fun with the waiters antics.

I've heard great things about Boma breakfast and we're planning to eat here in Oct.

We weren't terribly impressed with the food at Coral Reef but loved the amotsphere!

Teppen Edo looks like so much fun and I've read positive reviews.

Tusker House is one of our favorites!

We also really liked Chefs de France too!

Isn't it fun to plan all those meals? I think so!:goodvibes

I think you have a good list! One thing that we have always tried to do when we go is alternate character meals/ buffets with sit down meals. We love the character meals, but there is definitely a higher stress/ energy level at them with all the picture taking and getting up and down so we like to have other places in there as well. (Many on these boards do lots of character meals, though!)

We've been to most of the places on you list and the ones that are repeat requests by either the children or DH and me are:
Crystal Palace dinner
'Ohana dinner
Teppan Edo
Chef Mickey's (though we prefer breakfast to dinner here)

I know your kids are young, but we usually decide by giving everyone 1 choice and then picking the last couple as a family. Good luck deciding and have a magical trip!:wizard:

As a guest, he will enjoy most of them, but if he is chef and not a short-order cook,

1) He will enjoy (food-wise)
. . . Boma breakfast*
. . . Chefs De France
. . . Ohana dinner

2) He might be disappointed (food-wise)
. . . Chef Mickey's Dinner*
. . . Garden Grill Dinner
. . . Garden Grill Dinner
. . . Akershus Princess Dinner
. . . Cinderellas Happily Ever After Dinner @ 1900 Park Fare*
. . . Crystal Palace dinner
. . . Tusker House Breakfast or Dinner
. . . Coral Reef dinner
. . . Whispering Canyon Dinner
. . . Le Cellier dinner*
. . . Teppan Edo

DH is a Sous chef at a fine dining restaurant, I think he understand that some of the charecter meals for the kids might not be great food but he does does want to try some amazing stuff as well. Sometimes I feel like our whole trip will revolve around what were eat, which isn't really a bad thing. Thanks for the input!

We took our 2 nieces, ages 6 and 12.5 in January and the biggest hits for them was the character breakfasts...they loved the food and loved the characters and they ate alot.

THe sit down dinners they did not like the food at all and were fidgety the entire time. Next time we bring them it is a TS breakfast every day and CS for lunch and dinner
