OFFICIAL October 2009 thread - LET US KNOW YOUR PTR LINK!

So...

How many of you have actually been there at this time of year? I'm looking forward to the weather as we went at the beginning of Sept. last year and it was HOT HOT HOT, like an oven. I've heard it's nice weather.

I'm so worried about crowds though! I got spoiled in Sept. and have been told it's busier in October. Are there huge lines?

I think Halloween and Columbus Day will mean there will be crowds, but shouldn't be too bad I hope!!

Everything over 70 is hot for me! So I should be pleased with the weather I hope!

Weather is perfect. I always use a touring plan, so crowds don't bother me. But I don't think they are too bad. I think it is one of the best times to go!

How do you guys think that the tail end of free dining (oct1st-8th) will affect crowd levels? :confused3

I think it'll be busy, also the UK free dining is until December, so there might be a lot of us brits there! (Not that I have free dining)

I am joining in! Actually leaving in on Sept 26th but will be there until Oct 4th.

Last time we went the end of Sept it was pretty hot ~ but the crowds weren't bad. I am hoping for hot weather b/c we are doing LOTS of pool time and two waterparks. Very little touring this time. :) And of course MNSSHP! I love MNSSHP!!!

Welcome!!! I looove that photo of your baby!!! Sooo cute!

Does anyone know how late MNSSHP runs? I can't remember.

We will only be doing two parks in addition to MNSSHP and I am torn between:

Epcot and MK
or
Epcot and DHS

I am thinking if we can get enough stuff done at MNSSHP we won't need to go back to the MK ~ BUT the girls do love it so.

Decisions, Decisions!

I know this is off topic but could someone tell my how to make my ticker work right. I think I messed up somewhere. thanks

We went last year same time (except we didn't stay til the 31st, we stayed til the 27th. It was warm most days, but nights were cool (like 50-60). A couple days it rained (and was muggy/raw). Mornings and evenings were light sweatshirt times.

It's from 7pm until midnight, but you can get into the park at 4pm with your ticket though!

With all of the cutbacks, I wouldn't be surprised if they (disney execs.) changed it to entering at 7pm (not earlier.) That would be a bummer.:sad2:

Paste this to your signature, take out the quotation marks, and spaces... and take the other stuff out that's on your signature too... then you'll be all set!

Hi, I am Tracy aka mrsksomeday, Bill and I will be at POR Oct. 9th - 12th. We are meeting some people we met on the boards (here and on Enchanted) to hang out for the weekend.

We can't wait .

Is it to cool to swim in mid october?

We never thought so. But I guess it would depend on where you are from. There was one night that we were coming home (POR), and there was this family in one of the quiet pools just having a blast. DH and DD decided they'd go give it a try...Birrrr! Too cold at night for thier blood. They must have been from Alaska or something.

A change in plans already! :rotfl2:MIL is now joining us! (this is good news in case your wondering :goodvibes) Sooo we could no longer stay at CBR (5 people now) and I changed over to POR Riverside so we can all stay in 1 room. Did not have any trouble getting the same dates or free dining! :cool1:

Yay!! A thread for October!! :yay::yay:

My family will be there from October 24th until November 2nd.

We'll be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas for the first time, and I'm having sooo much fun planning. My husband thinks I'm nuts, lol.

All updated.

Glad to hear it wont be too cold to swim! (It's never too cold for us Brits!)

I guess you didn't see mine so I will repost it:
