Just phoned and made my dining reservations for June 2nd and 3rd by phoning the french reservations number

Cm just asked me my name and phone number, didn't want my booking reference or give me a dining reservation code (like they do at wdw)

Is that it - i just turn up on the day and give my name?! Should I confirm on arrival?

FWIW after far too much though i've gone for auberge de cendrillon 12 noon on the Tues, and cafe mickey 12 noon on the Wed. Going to use premium vouchers.

I think DD 3 will do better at lunchtime and i'm hoping the restaurants wont be as packed. only had brekkie at cafe mickey last year and never been to auberge before.

We booked ours this week as well and asked for a booking reference number.

We usually go to City hall when we arrive to confirm bookings

A small world - did they give you a booking ref code for each dining reservation?

Will i need it or can you just check in with your name...

thanks

It was DH that phoned not me but Im sure he got a different reference for each booking.

You can book in with just your name but we find it easier with a number - if you go to city hall you can ask them to confirm your bookings and give you printed slips to hand in when you arrive at each restaurant

O/T - whereabouts in Lancashire are you?

we booked Cafe Mickey before we went but were also asked to check at City Hall or our hotel reception to check.

Giving your name at the restaurant is enough :) - you don't need a reference number, although you can, as others have said, get this from City Hall.

We never bother get a reference number, just book in with our name. However if we are passing by one of 'our' restaurants on the first day of our holiday, I do pop in and check our time - then I am happy the booking was made properly. :)

Eek! We live in US and I don't know how/if we can call to making dining reservations for May 27-31. Advice?

Hi i am in USA also i was given a UK number thats where i booked my trip.Ihavent reserved anything yet we go in June 6 nights. :cool1:

We're there next weekend and, anticipating it to be busy, I rang yesterday and booked our evening meals. If you dial the aforementioned number and select option 2 then you get someone who can speak English.

Unfortunately, in my case, the girl had difficulty with the Scottish accent and we ended up having a lot of the conversation in French anyway! :lmao:

Anyway, I was given reference numbers but told that I probably wouldn't need them. At least I think that's what the lassie said. Higher-grade French circa 1985 didn't cover this particular area......
