We are staying at the Sequoia Lodge and have only been offered the half board plus option, are we able to book the basic package, we are not bothered about which restaurants we eat in?

You do not have to take any half board option if you don't want it. We were offered same and declined as we will play it by ear when we get there.:thumbsup2 If you are booking on the disney site, you can click the box to opt out of any half board plan.

you can ring at any time and add any of the plans onto your booking

That's what we're doing. We booked our main package/Eurostar and will pay the remainder next month. The Disney Express will be added on in June (we go 16th July) and the week before we go we will add our HB+ vouchers (you can do this upto 48 hours before you travel). It spreads the cost and options :-)

Lisa.

Thanks for your replies, think we will leave it a bit then and see how the finances are nearer the date.

i questioned Disney on this yesterday when i booked Newport Bay, they also only offer half board plus, the lady told me that if we went for half board standard then we wouldnt be able to eat at our hotel, only the Cheyenne & 6 other places, which were fine as we did this last month, but obviously you want to be able to eat in the hotel you are staying at.

Thats not correct though foxymum, as you could have bought half board standard vouchers for your party, and then used them at face value at the restaurants in the Newport Bay Hotel. You would have have something extra to pay, but not much.

Which half board option you choose really depends on picking your restaurant preferences before you book half board, and looking to see which ones are on which plan ;).

so i was wrongly informed by the Dsiney Advisor then, i would have rather gone with the half board standard as you can only eat in 1 restaurant a day anyway ;) so dont need the 14 that the Plus offers!

That's what we thought, only have three meals on the voucher so why pay foe 14!! We are going to leave it a bit longer, the Euro may go up again!!!!
