How do VIP fastpass work?

Do you put them in fast pass machines? Are they 1 each or does 1 cover whole family? Are they only good for rides with fast pass machine?

If you get VIP FPs you will get one each which lasts for your whole stay. It can only be used on rides with FP and sometimes only between certain hours (they will tell you this when you collect it)

You dont put it in the machine- you just go to the FP entrance when you want to ride and show it to the CM and you will be let on the ride. You keep the ticket- dont hand it to the CM to keeep because as I say it lasts for your whole trip

Usually VIP fast pass can be used 2 hours after park opening and up to 2 hours before. In the summer I recall this is 11am to 9pm. You never hand them in, just show them to the CM. You also can bypass the queue of people waiting to get into the ride queue - this is usually when their time slot has not been reached yet and the CM won't let them join the fast pass queue.

You get one vip fast pass ticket each, not per group, which lasts each person the duration of their stay.

Only can be used on fast pass enabled attractions....
