Help needed w/ UY, still a little confused

I am putting together a planning sheet for our upcoming DVC purchase, and putting in place a few options for "vacation seniros", a list of needs and wants for a resale contract......kind of like a quick reference guide for me to quickly glance at when we see a contract we like.
So i am still confused over use year, and want to make sure i am understanding it right, and picking a good UY for us.

we will travel either Spring break - late March
OR
Christmas / NYE

what UY would be ideal?

Either Oct or Dec UY should work out for you. Both will cover Dec and March travel.

An Oct UY will allow you to bank up until May 31st or a Dec UY will allow you to bank up until July 31st. This means that if you ever did have to cancel one of your vacations (and did so more than 30 days out) and were unable to go again that year then you would still have an opportunity to bank those points - if they are current UY.
