Where to get free copy of credit reports?

I don't want to click on a phishing ad that links to me a site where you have to pay, or worse, steals my info. Isn't there a site that gives you a free CBR once per year?

the website is annualcreditreport.com. it will give you a copy of your credit report from the 3 companies.

Go to annualcreditreport.com. You are entitled to one free report from each bureau every year. You can select one report and then space out the others over the course of the year or order all 3 at once.

Ditto what was said above. That is the best place if you need just the reports, however this will not include your credit scores.

If you need reports and scores your best bet is to sign up with a company that will give you a free trial with all three reports and scores. Just do a google search for "free triple score credit report" or some variation of that and you will find tons of companies who will give you a free trial to their credit monitoring service for anywhere from 7 days to as long as 60 days. This will include all three credit reports and scores. Just be sure to cancel within the free trial period so that you are never charged. I have done this twice in the last year with no problems.

If you do not need your scores then you can skip all of that hassle and go with what has already been suggested at annualcreditreport.com.
