We will be going July 26-31, staying at Saratoga Springs on developer points.
This will be our 4th July in a row!
This trip was not planned until we received our developer points. We were planning on doing Washington DC this summer, and we still are, just not as long as origionally planned.
We are going to try something different this time; no parks, no dining plan! I'm interested to see how this goes as my husband loves the thrill of obtaining fastpasses!
These are the restaurants I want to go to, not sure when yet and still have lots of time before the 90 day mark:
Kona Cafe
'Ohana breakfast
'Ohana dinner
Sanaa (new AKL restaurant)
Dinosaur
Can't wait!!

We're also staying at SSR using developer points! July 20-30th!

The new ADR system really has me confused. If our check-in date is July 17, then what is the first date I can make our ADRs? April 19?

Thanks. One more question on the 90-day thing...is the 90 days + 10 days start on the day you check-in to your resort (for us, that will be the night of July 17), or the first day you go to the park (for us, that will be July 18).

I know it seems crazy to be worried about something like this, but based on the feedback I'm reading about trying to get ADRs with this new 90-day policy, I'm getting a little worried about getting the ones we want.

Just had to share -- this morning I made my first official purchase for our trip! :yay: I ordered new Crocs (Malindis) for myself and my DDs. We're hoping the women's size 4 will fit my younger DD -- based on their size chart it should. She really, really wants the Malindis, even though I think the new girls' style (can't remember the name....) is adorable and would definitely fit her. We bought our first Crocs for our first trip to Disney and they were fabulous. My girls wear theirs all the time. DH is still not a convert. He won't even try them on. LOL

Next thing to tackle -- I (well, really DH since he ends up carrying it most of the time) need a new bag to carry in the parks. Last time we took a backpack and it worked really well, but it's old and worn out and desperately needs to be replaced. So now I'm looking at bags and trying to figure out what kind of bag to take this year.

Then I need to figure out my wardrobe...last time, I wore khaki shorts and white tops/t-shirts the entire trip-- very lightweight and great for the hot weather. I'm thinking some cute skirts (loving some of the gathered, elastic waist skirts I'm seeing in the stores) might be nice this time -- comfy, cool, and cute all at the same time. Oh, and new bathing suits...trying to find a one-piece bathing suit for my older DD for our day in the water parks (she has a couple of tankinis but she likes the more adventurous water slides so I'd feel better if she was in a 1-piece, just in case.... :scared:). A 1-piece bathing suit for a very thin 14 1/2 year old is turning out to be hard to find this year!

It's 90 days from the day you check in +10 so in your case, the 17th. You can make your ADRs on April 18th. I know because I am checking in on the 19th of July and can make mine on the 20th or April. :thumbsup2

The 90 days starts from when you check in. So it would bey July 17th plus 10 days!

Happy Friday!!!!

Hope everyone has a relaxing or at least a productive weekend. I for one will be in the office this weekend trying to get caught up on all that paperwork. The only time I can focus of the stuff I hate doing is when the office is closed.

However, I Thank God Daily that I have a job and one that for the most part that I really enjoy!

Happy Friday to you too, Lois! And Happy SPRING to everyone, too!!!!

(Even though it is snowing here in NJ.....:sad2: )

Oh No, not snow!! I have had enough of that white stuff and don't think we will see any more of it here in the midwest this year. I hope it comes and goes without too much fanfare for you.

Just remember:We are one day closer!!!!! Lois

ADR question again --

According to that calculator, 90 days would be April 18. So then if I add 10 days to that, since we're staying in a Disney resort, I can call for my ADRs on April 8, right?

My goodness, this is so confusing! I don't remember it being this confusing last time we went. LOL

No, no no...it's not 10 days before, it's April 18th plus the following 10 days of your trip. That rule is in place so that you can make ADRs for your whole trip, 90 days from the day you check in. :thumbsup2
