Discovering DVC timandlesley style-A PTR, 19 days TRIP REPORT LINK PG.119!!!!!

HI! Booth items that I saw, all FOOD, yes, never saw an item that wasn't included, but I may have missed something.. however I remember reading here on the DIS that people confirmed snack credits were accepted at all the booths.. now NOT the "W" of the FWF, mind you, so no "alcoholic beverages"! But definitely everything we ate was a "snack" -- frankly it was dinner, from Mexico to Canada :rotfl2: Dessert in France and China, you know...:lmao:

Sadly, it is "red" that day... I know it is a bad idea, but I think we are going to go ahead and do it. I really wanted to do the Bday thing for my DH on his Bday and I already have a CRT ADR - didn't want to mess with trying for that again... we only plan to stay from EMH to right after lunch. I am taking TGM advice the rest of the trip. Sorry to pirate your PTR. Thanks for the advice and for listening! ;)

ADRs went great, thanks for asking! I got CP at 8:15, for breakfast!!! I was so excited :woohoo:
I was only on hold for 45 min and I started calling at 7:30 am. I didn't get my first date, but I did get the second. So, yay me!

Thanks for the FWF, WOW, can't wait to be there!!! Well, good luck with MK on a red day, at least you will be having dinner at an awesome place, I'm sure you will be fine, you are in DISNEY after all!

Glad they went well, I am getting really nervous though since you didn't get CP until 8:15 and you didn't get your first date, I don't really have an alternate for that, YIKES!!! My ADR day falls on a MONDAY!!!! So I am NOT happy about that at all!
Lesley

Hey guys, you AREN'T going to believe this but I got another email from Southwest yesterday morning about their summer sale, I went online and our airfare dropped AGAIN!!!!!:cool1: So now we have a $209.00 credit to use for our October Trip:banana: I can't believe it, GOTTA LOVE SOUTHWEST AIRLINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I have to admit, I totally tried to cheat the system yesterday (yes, slap my hand) and call to make my ressies early (I was going to say our checkin day was earlier) but I didn't realize (and maybe I would if I read the dining boards more) that now they require your reservation number so they can look up your dates of arrival when you call. WHAT!!!!:scared1: So, let me get this straight, if you don't have a reservation at a Disney property can you not make ADR's anymore???:confused3
So obviously this didn't work for me but my official call day is Monday. YUCK!!!! A work day, I prepared Tim that he may be calling for me Monday morning, his reply was "I'm scared":rotfl:
Well, gotta go hop in the shower and get ready for work. TGIF!!!!:yay:
Lesley

Hmmmm. A Monday for ressies.........that stinks. Maybe you should add a day to the beginning of your trip so that you can make them on Sunday morning. Then in about a week or so, go back and take that day off. I remember my ADR day fondly...........it was better than my birthday:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ! I was up at 5:00 am that morning b/c I was in a panic that I would oversleep!:rotfl2: I'm such a nerd over that kind of stuff!

Okay, I DONT want to scare your husband, but I did just make my call yesterday, and, well... it took a little while... :rolleyes1 It had a lot to do with the locations I selected, I guess. :confused3 If you have time, I put a post on my PTR with a "play-by-play" and ADR suggestions based on my call, the last post. Take a look? I called three times yesterday but have emerged mostly victorious. :) I am satisfied with what I have.. mostly!

I also will say that it is AWESOME that you got your airline credit, wow! :thumbsup2

You will LOVE FWF, I know we did -- that is the only time we have been!

Yes, to the confirmation # for your resort reservation! I didn't know either, and sprinted upstairs to get it, b/c it was, of course, the ONLY thing I didn't have with me!

Okay, looking forward to seeing you reveal your Itinerary!!! popcorn::

his reply was "I'm scared"
:rotfl2: That is TOO funny! No one makes ADRs like you can, Lesley.

How awesome on the airfare! At this rate, they'll be paying you guys to fly.

We just decided to "run away" to WDW for a super-short stay after my graduation in May. When I made my ADR yesterday, they did not ask for a reservation number - maybe because I'm already WAY past the 90 day mark?:confused3 Hope you get all the ADRs you want.

So, let me get this straight, if you don't have a reservation at a Disney property can you not make ADR's anymore???:confused3

i hope not because i know a couple of people i'm helping with trips who aren't staying on property. i'm thinking maybe this is just for the on-site guests who get the 90+10 advantage?

I prepared Tim that he may be calling for me Monday morning, his reply was "I'm scared":rotfl:

ray would be the same way! :rotfl2: he'd probably beg me to take a day off just to make ADRs!

yay for discounts! :woohoo:

My official call day is Tuesday! Yuck too! That's so funny Tim said that. I'm sure my B/F would say that too if I made him call. :lmao: But luckily, my dad likes to do all of that so no worries for me!

It is definitely for the 10 day window for WDW guests. If you are staying on property they are confirming that and the day of the reservation, so you are not calling before your window allows... NOT that anyone tries that...:rolleyes1 I think those off property can only call on the day for the 90 day mark. I think that means they need to call each day?

I saw the Southwest ads on TV last night, and I thought--"I bet Tim and Lesley are going to get an even BIGGER credit now!" GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Those are some seriously cheap tickets!

Good luck with your ADRs---I'm crossing all fingers and toes for you! If Tim does have to "be the man," I know he will do well and make you proud Lesley---I am sure by now he is well-versed in your general game plan/itinerary and will be amply advised on how to handle any snags that might come up!!! GOOD LUCK!!! I really am looking so forward to seeing your itinerary when it comes out!!!!! Have a great weekend!

I just wanted to confirm that you CAN make ADRs if you're staying off-site; the reason they ask for your confirmation number for your hotel reservation is to make sure you are entitled to the 90+10 rule. Off-site guests can still make ADRs, but - as was the case when it was 180 days - they have to wait until 90+10 (or 180+10 as it used to be). Did that make sense?

Congrats on the Southwest savings!

Tim can do it. Tim can do it..:cheer2: I would probably take the day off because there would be NO WAY that my DH would know what he was doing since I do all the planning. But Tim will do a great job I'm sure. Have a great weekend!!:)

Hey Lesley!!! I have been MIA from your PTR, but I wanted to let you know I am here girl!!!:goodvibes

OK, listen up everyone......I need to clear the air. I know I have to make "the call" Monday and make all the ADR's for our upcoming trip and I love all the support I'm getting, but I am so officially SCARED for my life.

I've been going to Disney every year with my eyes wide SHUT, Lesley does all the planning, and the kids and I just show up with Lesley and her laminated cards.;)

Lesley walks around for months with these HUGE planning folders just like the Secret Service carrying the Nuclear Football, holding all the Launch Codes. She knows the RED days the GREEN days and every other color days. She knows where to eat, how much to spend each penny, and how each dollar converts to DDP credits.:worship:

TGM calls Lesley for insight on how to plan for each month, she knows EVERYTHING and she always takes care of everything and all is good in Tim's perfect little Disney world.:cloud9:

Then one day, "Hey Tim, Monday I work so you need to make all the ADR's for our trip, ok?" OK?? OK???:scared1: Lesley then hands me the HUGE planning folder, it's like trying to figure out the DAVINCI CODE....R U KIDDING ME!!??

So, here I am waiting for Monday like a prisoner awaits his last meal, I swear I heard the kids yell DEAD MAN WALKING as I passed them in the hall yesterday.

Am I scared? HELL YES!!! :scared1:

God Help Us ALL!!!!:guilty:
Tim

Hey Tim,
Your post has me:lmao:. I'm a lot like Lesley with the planning and the TGM and ADR's. Not sure my hubby would be able to handle the ADR's. I think you'll be fine though and do a great job. I'm sure Lesley told you to book the important ones first, that would be Le Cellier and any Character meals. I'm sure she make sure you are up and ready for that 7 am phone call. Good luck and don't worry too much.

Nichole

Tim, let me simply say, and this is a little silly, but .... do you remember when Lesley gave birth? Well, being in charge of the ADR's might be a little like that... I don't know exactly how things were between the two of you during labor and delivery :scared1: , but, certainly planning and delivering a Disney Vacation is pretty close to delivering a child! I mean all the anticipation, all the planning, all the anxiety and then, here we are, "the big day"! So..... to make the analogy between the two, on Monday, she is asking you to be there, hold her hand, and if she yells at you during or after, well, you knew it was dangerous when you took the job, and well, if you have been through it, twice, you should know what to expect. So just do EXACTLY what she tells you to... And know in the end it will always work out well... but yes, Tim, be scared... be very, very, scared :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (just kidding ;) ) It will be great. You can do it!:cheer2:

Poor Tim! Just follow the step-by-step directions that I am sure Lesley will leave you, don't deviate from the chart, and you should be fine! :thumbsup2
