I know I'm not Aaron, but I don't care for them. I like the current 'classic' look they have now, and I am glad they are sticking with it.

I agree with Todd. I like the classic look as well. However, I do understand Disney has to keep up with other cruise lines when it comes to design and sophistication.

One thing I found interesting with the designs is the life boats are red. On the current boats they are yellow. Disney had to get permission from the cruise line authority to make the current life boats yellow. Makes you wonder if these images are accurrate like Tracy said, or if Disney went and got permission for red life boats, or if they are red in hopes they can get permission later.

I seem to remember the crew talking about names last year, around the time of the DL show. I thought they made their prediction then. (Or am I thinking of something else?)

So who knew that going through the McDonald's drive thru would be hazardous to my health...

I had to run a print job over to my local Kinko's earlier today. So I thought that while I was there, i'd swing through McD's an grab lunch on my way back to the office. Our McD's has that double lane drive thru thing that just seems to confuse the heck out of everyone in front of me. So it's my turn to pick my lane, but I can't pull around the person in front of me because she's blocking the drive...no biggie...I wait a moment until she's able to pull up. I guess I just wasn't quick enough because the person behind me decided that I wasn't planning to go into the far lane anyway. She pulled out from behind me and pulled right where I was headed...grrrrr...so I shoot dirty, dirty (not THAT kind, Don) looks at her in her side mirror since I was now right behind her. She locked eyes with me once and refused to look in her mirror again the rest of the time...

So that drama's over and i've got my food and i'm heading out of the parking lot. Gotta pull all the way around the building in order to get out. I get stuck behind another car (not in the drive-thru, mind you) while we wait for someone to back out of their parking spot. When he was out, I started to pull forward and some guy in a big black truck decided that we were too slow, so he tried to go around me on the right. When it was clear that he wasn't going anywhere because I was in the way...he decided that it would be beneficial to honk at me. I ignore him and keep moving. I get out to the street and he decided to honk his way around the corner at me as he turned the other direction. I saluted him.

Made me feel better.

Kind of reassuring that Michigan isn't the only state that gives away driver's licenses in Cracker Jack boxes.

Can't they be a little more original than that. I believe Carnival already has ships named The Dream and Fantasy.

The names for the Disney ships were selected a long time ago, they were just released today.

I kind of doubt that Disney would spent money to create a model and marketing for the new ships with the classic design if they were planning on using a different design. The first steel cutting was a scroll work similar to the scroll work on the front of the Magic and Wonder. Personally I doubt they are going to use a different design.

They had insider information with the names. I believe the names they threw out at that time were Dream and Wish.

Nothing to disclose. They are identical on the outside to the current ships, just much bigger. I only saw the outside of the ships. I actually complained because there were no deck chairs out for people to sun (the models of the Magic and Wonder have chairs).
