Can anyone answer if there are 2 parking spots available an OKW 2 BR? We have only used 1 BR & studios in the past Thanks.

There aren't any assigned parking spots at OKW. There's no problem if you have two cars.

Which is a good thing:thumbsup2

We stayed at the Historic Powhatan in Williamsburg, and they assigned 1 space for a 2 bedroom unit. The other car had to park at the pool overflow lot. The space was numbered and they were really strict about it.

Would not like to see that at DVC resorts.

Spots are first come first served at all resorts. You may not always get a spot right by your unit, but there is plenty of parking.

Thanks. I should have remembered that spots are not assigned and that they are not necessarily near your unit, but does anyone recall if there is any "official" OKW recommendation on how many spots should be used per unit? I have reserved a 2 bedroom unit to travel with family and I am assuming that there should be at least 2 parking spaces available - anyone know for sure?

Just ask for the extra parking pass at check in. We've never had a problem (at BWV) getting an extra.

I don't know if there is any official limit per unit. I doubt it. My guess is that the CMs handle it on a case by case basis if you need or want more than 1.

There isn't any official OKW recommendation about that. When you check in just ask for a parking pass for each of the vehicles in your party.

We stayed at OKW in a 2-BR, and had 3 cars. We checked in at the HH, and they gave us all passes. No questions asked. :thumbsup2

In theory there should not be a problem getting 2 or 3 parking passes for a 2 bedroom villa because not every occupied villa at the resort will have guests with car(s). I agree with others here, that you'll be fine; we too have had 2 cars at various DVCs assigned to our villa and passes & parking were not a problem.

:goodvibes

It seems to me that since the Magical Express came into being there are more parking spaces available. Am I crazy??

I agree. We have noticed this as well. It used to be a LOT harder to find parkting at OKW than it is now.

Some buildings don't have parking right at them - I know of the three newest buildings - the ones they built/converted when they took out the DVC sales office - one of them does not have parking right in front of it, but the other two are close enough that it is no hardship to park at one of them. We have had 0 (flew last two trips) 1 (usually) and 2 (took step son and his family) vehicles and not had a problem with any

I decided to call OKW front desk and was told that we just had to check in and notify them of how many vehicles we had. I explained that I had a 2 bedroom unit and my daughter and son-in-law (and baby) might choose to have their own vehicle. There does not seem to be any defnite policy on the number of vehicles permitted. We will be at OKW between Christmas & new Years for the first time, and I would expect the place would be at capacity and did not want any suprises. I was just hoping that there would be at least 2 parking spaces available - since a 2 bedroom unit could be considered 2 separate units under other circumstances. Thanks again to all for the comments. I suspect there won't be any problems. I just don't like to leave things to chance.

There are no spots assigned to units. All guests (day and resort) can and will park where ever there is a spot as well so keep that in mind if you lose your spot. You might end up parking away from your unit.

That being said we had no issue parking directly in front of our unit last Dec. The parks were busy, the resort was 100% capacity but the parking lots were very empty.

no more than 2 or whatever you can find

HUH??? In 12 years of OKW ownership, I have never known there to be a limit of any kind on parking passes handed out per unit. The only thing I have known of is if you have a trailer of any kind, it has to be parked at PORS and not in any of the OKW lots.
