Child of 13 becomes a father

This has actually disgusted and angered me.

What on earth is the world coming too, babies bringing up babies.

Im not surprised, I hear my 16 year old students talking about how many partners they have had (loads!), what drugs they have done etc. Some of my students were telling me that they started taking ecstasy in year 8 at school :sad2:

It's certainly a shocker, the boy doesn't even look 8, let alone 13!

Goodness knows where these kids are learning all these things at that age, when I was 13 I was still playing with toys!!

Strange how society has changed so much in such a short amount of time ( as I'm not too old, yet! :lmao: )

It is awful and he looks so young, my DS's 11 and 7 look older than him. I think the parents need to take some of the blame, they let him stay over

When i was 13 i was still watching Animals of Farthing wood, not planning a baby.

Did they sell the story for money? Or did the Sun get tipped off?

When I was 13 I still had all my Sindy dolls!!! :lmao:

His girlfriend is 15 - when I was that age at school (not too long ago!), boys that were 2-3 years younger than you - you never even looked at, they were 'babies'!!

I just get sad when I think about all the missed opportunities for them - schooling/jobs etc. And future relationships - cause they're not gonna last, despite what they say! It'll end up in a vicious circle - he'll have more kids with someone else as will she...:sad2:

:lmao: Me too!!!

This really angered me when I heard this story this morning - it's shocking! He looks no older than 8!

On the news they played a voice clip of him being interviewed, he was asked how he was going to cope financially, to which he replied "what does financially mean!"....that sums up why he should not be able to have/raise a child!

My mum would of probably beat me senseless if i ever came home at that age and said i was pregnant.

That is absolutely disgusting. I'm truly shocked. Had to laugh at the Mother's name being "Chantelle" though.

This totally angers me.

Another child that the state (i.e. the tax payers) will need to pay for.

I'm in agreement with this.

She'd have killed me - though we have role reversal now as I'm 25 next week, they're wanting to know when they're ACTUALLY going to get a Grandchild  I've told them they have to definately wait until after Florida next year :lmao:

My mums reaction when i said i was pregnant at the grand age of 22 scared me half to death. :rotfl:

This does really concern me.... When I was 13 it was still weird to talk to lads and have them as friends never mind anything else! He was only 12 when the baby was concieved, and I just cannot believe it! Shocking stuff....

I'm stunned by this, it makes you wonder what is happening to this country (I'm sure it's not the first or last but it's wrong) as others have said at this age I wasn't even thinking of dating boys - let alone .....(I'm 28)

They should do those 'doll' babies at primary school so even if it's just for 1 day (24 hours) the kids can see what a responsability it is to bring a child into the world. It's not fair on the two children to have this at their age, the parents should have intervened IMHO.

Probably shocking because it is the news, but sadly I would think not the only case of this.
To me shows the inconsistency of the state in such matters, as both of the people involved have broken the law and, I think it is safe to say, are in no fit state to raise a child.

As an aside, I heard a story on Radio 2 a couple of days ago where 3 children were taken into care by the local council because of a misdiagnosis of one of the children, which has now (a few years later) been accepted as a misdiagnosis and the courts have ruled that as the children are in adoptive families they will be left where they are and the biological parents are helpless to alter the situation.

Yet here we have a situation where the parents are in no fit state to raise the child, have admitted committing a crime and no-one seems to be talking about social services getting involved. Apparently the parents are in full support, I assume because they feel pressured into being that way (but haven't they got 5 or 6 children themselves?).

For me, the question is how has our soceity failed these people, because it clearly has. The world has gone mad.

It is shocking and I can shock you all even more!

My daughter is 14 in year 10 and one of the girls in her year gave birth to a little girl last month! :scared1: Dad is in the same year too although DD has found out that both families have agreed that dad is to have nothing further to do with the child. The girl has now returned to school but I think it really seems more real when it is someone you know.

I'm just glad my daughter is more interested in her sports than boys at the moment.
