Tea with Wendy and Matinee question

Is the Tea with Wendy listed on the navigator? I couldn't find it trying to scan posted navigators, but I didn't do an exhaustive search. Is it usually on the first sea day at a particular time?

Also, are matinees on the Magic more likely to be offerred for Disney Dreams or Golden Mickeys? And were they more likely to happen at certain times of the year? The navigator I was looking at did not show any matinees.

I think that it's now Tea with Alice...which unfortunately makes my dd very unhappy as Tea w/Wendy was one of the things she was looking forward to for our 1st cruise.

And i wasn't that impressed with it. Only two kids get picked to go up and sit at the table. Everyone else is seated out in the audience. Certain spots make it hard to see. The tables are tight so getting up and changing seats is tough. My DD5 was confused over what was going on. And after 1/2 hour (which seemed like 2 hours) it was over and you could line up for photo ops. Not worth it in my opinion.
And they gave cookies and apple juice (1 hour before dinner....ugh)

Tea with Alice is offered on sea days.

When we were on the Magic last year they had matinees for all the shows. From what I understand this isn't the norm and matinees are hit and miss.

its a total hit and miss. I went on our last cruise depending on this and then there were none. It was a really big bummer for me with a very young child - but it ended up not being a really big problem.

Is it just for young kids? I was thinking it would be something fun for me, my mom and dd (13) to do. A girl’s thing.

For the tea party, my DD is 9 and we went. It's cute. Get there early to get a spot up front. And go to Guest Services the first day to pick up tickets. It is not in the Navigators, nor did I see it listed anywhere.

Gotta love the Dis!

It was Tea with Alice when we went last May. DD (5 at the time) was chosen to sit with Alice and Madhatter. But she got scared because the Madhatter was big and made frequent loud, sudden moves and noises. She ended up crying and we had to fetch her.

That's exactly why we don't do the Tea. My DD gets totally freaked out by the Mad Hatter. It's the only character she won't have anything to do with.

it's Tea with Alice & Mad Hatter. They show you the proper way to drink tea (appke juice) and eat a cookie. Best of all - IT"S FREE!! Takes about 30 minutes. Yes it's silly and childish, but why else do think I cruise Disney?!
