Free Dining last December question

Does anyone know when this was released and what dates it covered?

I have 3 rooms booked for the beginning of December for 10 people at the Poly with the military 40% off discount but Free Dining at rack rate I believe would be a better deal so this girl is dreaming

The dates were released in Sept sometime because I heard it here while on my trip.It was first offerd only selectively via random person specific pincode mailers, and then a few weeks later Disney Visa holders got a similar offer.It was never offered to the general public.

The visa FD promo started towards the end of September good for arrivals until Dec. 20th. Blackouts included Jersey week (1st week in Nov) and maybe others as well.

It did include up to 20% off rack rates as well on some resorts (ours at CSR at the end of Dec did)

The disney visa actually covered longer than that because we had free dining and did not arrive until the 21th. I dont really remember the dates just know we were there the 21th until the 26 and we had free dining.

Ind mid-September Disney Destinations sent out some emails that offered free dining pin codes for select stays most nights 9/28-10/11, 11/9-11/22, 12/14-12/20/08. These emails were random, not for the general public, and the codes were non-transferrable. About a week later Disney Visa send out a free dining code for their card holders for the same select dates in October, November and December. These pin codes were not part of the annual Fall Dining promotion.

If you checked it by December 20 you could extend your free dining through December 31, 2008.

Unfortunately, there is just no way to know if Disney will put out that offer again. That promotion was the first time free dining was offered outside of the normal fall dates.

PrincessTiffany is correct, last year was the first time that has ever happened.It may be similar this year, it may be different, or not at all.

Time to do some number crunching to see if it would be worth it just in case it comes out.

FD is really worth it for the Values in my opinion, not so much for Deluxe and ok for mods since rack rate is pd for the room.
