Adding non-discount night to pin ressie?

I booked a Dec. stay yesterday on a pin code I received. I need three nights, but unfortunately, my last night of the stay is not included in the pin. The CM told me if I wanted to book all three at the time, I had to make two separate reservations, hence two deposits (one at the discount rate and the other at rack rate). Sorry, but I was not paying around $700 for "deposits" on rooms at one time.

Has anyone else encountered a similar situation? Have you called after the fact and added nights non-discount nights to your pin reservations?

That is what I was told when I booked my bounceback. So, I paid the deposit on the bounceback, and hoping that I can still get a room in a couple of months for the other night. I thought it was crazy myself.

WDW is the only place I know where you CAN'T book more than one hotel room for the same room nights (different cards or people booking maybe), can't get guaranteed connecting rooms, can't get guaranteed king beds (except mods of course) and CAN'T EXTEND STAYS ON DISCOUNTED ROOMS EVEN IF THE EXTENSION IS RACK RATE. . .makes me want to cringe. . .and the sad thing is that they get away with it. . .

HELLO, 21ST CENTURY HERE. . .WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE

okay, rant over now. . .

I think the CM you spoke to was misinformed. When I booked our Dec. '09 trip with our PIN code, the last night of our stay (Dec. 25) fell outside of the dates that the PIN included. There was no need to make us a separate ressie; we are just paying rack rate for that night. I do know that if you want to start your trip before the dates the PIN includes, you would need 2 separate ressies. But not when the dates fall after. I would call and have a different CM try to help you.

Agree with pp. I thought you can book it as part of your res. If a night is not discounted, then you just pay rack for that night. :confused3
I could see it if you were staying over 14 nights, as most offers only allow up to 14 nights. But you are wanting three nights total. :confused3

OK, I called back and the CM was able to add the night to my current ressie, last night at rack rate. No additional money for a deposit.

Geesh, I wish all the CMs could get on the same page! The pin code I had received was in my maiden name and I have been married four years. And it went to the same email address for my DVC membership and all other correspondence from Disney that all come to my married name.

What is the funniest is the first CM needed all my "new" information for the code when I originally booked BUT she saw last time I was there was in December and I am going again in May. Yet, all that information is in my married name and current address!
