Are there typically codes for Dec?

I'm about to book a trip for the first week in Dec(looks like everyone is). I keep seeing posts about Dec pins. I was just wondering if that was an annually occurence? I might go ahead and book it with the 40% off and wait for another code. The only thing is that I'm skeptical of receiving an offer after having already booked a trip. Has anyone received pins after having already booked a trip?

I received the passholder 40% pin, and booked three nights at Poly for a quick trip. Since I did that, I have not received any of the other pins that seem to be going out every week--kids dine stay and play, free dining, free $500 gift card etc...The question you pose, is one that I too have been questioning...I wanted to goduring free dining at the end of August/or labor day weekend. I even called to be sure there wasn't another Pin attached that I had missed. No luck though.

If you got the 40% pin, it doesn't get much better than that.I would book it.

There are pins in Dec., but 40% off is probably better than you can get. If there is a public pin you can change it but the availablity is always an issue. If you have a Disney Visa once again if they come out with a deal you can change it if you get a better offer. We are going in December too and if I had a 40% for my dates I would use it.

I tend to agree, but some have stated there has been free dining in Dec....which would be better than 40% off when I'm planning on staying at Pop during the value season. I'd rather save 100's of $'s on food than 200$ on a room. If I were staying at a moderate or a deluxe, than yes but these kids are so obsessed with staying at Pop after seeing the photos that I have to take them there at least once. So, is there free dining typically offered in Dec?

There was free dining last year with a disney visa. If this come out simply change your reservations. This the disney visa codes are for anyone who has a disney visa so its not like you are sent a code.

thanks for the info. i know i saw a few posts that said they received the free dining pin and did not have Disney Visas...sure would be nice. I'll go ahead and book and we'll just have to wait and see.

We had a 40% off general code for last year (08). It went through 12/24. We also had a great AP rate in 06. It put us in value season and took an amount off the room. I'm not sure how that would work now though with their new booking system which uses day by day prices.
