4/3 Question

I have just booked two weeks (in two separate 7 night bookings) under the 4/3 deal for April.

Therefore we get a l day park ticket for the first week and one for the second week.

I only did this to get the package as we only purchased annual passes in January.

Can I exchange this ticket for a water park ticket instead? Wouldn't want the difference in price back but otherwise can't think when would use the 1 day tickets!

The 1-day does not expire. Therefore you can pocket them all and use them in a returning year where you want to come for a long weekend or something and dont want to purchase APs

Disneygem- Ok did I read it right??? Did you book 2 seperate weeks for the plan? Are they in a row? I want to do that in July but I dont want to buy park passes twice? If you did 2 weeks in a row can you tell me how you have to do it?

Thanks soooo much

Its 2 weeks in a row but presume we'll have to check out and back in again. I believe from another site that the max you can get on 4/3 is 10 nights but it works out best to do two 7 night bookings. Even with having to pay for two passes it still works out miles cheaper than normal rate as you're getting 6 nights free. CM had no problem with me booking it all in one go. I'm waiting for an annual pass code to come out - if that's cheaper I'll apply it but as its easter week I think I'll be sticking with rate I've got.

Ok but you have an ap. I dont have an ap so I would have to get 4 day passes both weeks that I reserve? This is what I am not sure about...the C yesterday told me to do 2 reservations but could not price for me as I cant do til Mon. I am going July/Aug. thanks

I am a true Disney junkie and I read things all over the place. I stumble upon links and places from all sorts of sites. I have found an article that explains the 4/3 deal pretty well and since I'm short on time, instead of explaining things, I'm posting a link to it HERE. Maybe since it uses my math (I own it--lol), I'm partial. It will help with the tickets, the two weeks/split reservations, etc on the deal.

rt2dz THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Pretty much got it!!! The ticket thing is still confusing me...so if anyone can explain it in my term (which seems to be DUH), that would be great. OK I want to stay July 25-Aug 8. That is 14 nights, Dining plan...so what would the best ticket option be? If there was no 4/3 I would get 10 day base, we have down days and dont always use the 10 but is worth getting anyway.

Thank you!!!

Per the article (and everything I've ran confirms this):

Book 2 reservations. Reservation A is 7 night, buy 4, get 3 free. Purchase a 10-day base ticket with no expiration. Use it on day-one then upgrade it to an AP. USE IT FIRST. Reservation B is 7 nights, buy 4, get 3 free. Purchase one-day base tickets. Save those tickets for a future trip/AP renewal. Or give to a friend. Whatever works for you. Dining plans just have to be booked twice. I think you'll wind up with a second set of credits, so do at least one signature restaurant.

Tickets may be explained a little bit better in the AP rate at the end of June thread.
