We went out on Sat and stopped at Walmart after. I found a bunch of wedding stuff in the clearance aisle.

I bought 40 DIY invites for $7!! I was going to do photo invites, but the prices for invitations are insane for something most will throw away. So now I am doing the DIY ones and just including an epic with them.

I also got a just married crystal iron on for $1. I figured I could get a cheap tank some where and for a few bucks have another wedding shirt.

This wasn't at all walmarts though as I stopped at a different one yesterday and they had nothing on sale and the invites there were still $20ish.

I got those on clearance last year. Are they by Wilton? I will say I thought it would be easy - but - lots went wrong, LOL.

I wanted to use the Disney font, so I had to print them myself instead of using their online template (you have to download a template). Sounds easy, but I don't have MS Word - I have some other MS program so the templates wouldn't work and I had to do it all from scratch (meaure, print a test, measure, reprint, etc.). I got the invites done fine, but then the envelopes wouldn't print. I finally got three to print and then my printer jammed (it really wasn't jammed but said it was). I had to uninstall & reinstall my printer. Then, for some reason, the rest of the envelopes wouldn't print. GRRR. I then printed them out from the wilsonprint.com site using another font. On to the reply cards - I printed those out but didn't realize you're supposed to print two on a card, then cut the card in half. OK, no biggie. But then those envelopes were too small for my printer, and I had to hand write them.

I got the Flirty Fleur design and I have to say that the envelopes are really thin. If you got fancier ones that is great, otherwise I'd suggest buying some tissue paper to put inside with the invite, reply card & envie, to dress them up a bit.

I ended up using 2 different fonts (and two different shades of purple ink) PLUS handwriting. Good thing my family isn't particular about all that. DH2B said "take them somewhere and have them printed" but I only needed 10 so it would have cost a small fortune.

Good thing I am never doing this again, LOL!

Good luck!

That is crazy! My DF's cousin already used these for her wedding and said she would print them out for me. If is doesn't work, I am ordering from vista print. :thumbsup2

I am not saying *you* will have the problems I did, LOL. It's just that I thought "oh, this will be so easy and inexpensive" and it turned into a three-day-long nightmare, LOL!
