New discounts coming

Not to be an alarmist, but the WDW reservation site says it will be down
on January 30th for another 'update', back online on the 31st. Maybe something new coming?

I hope it will be the online reservations for dining and online check in that they keep saying are coming but haven't been finished yet for us to use

They may be updating the calendar too for May. I hope they are! I need to plan my days and ADRS!

I would love for it to be new discounts but I think we are going to have to wait until the end of March when the current buy 4 get 7 deal officially expires. That date is in line with when summer discounts have been released in the past. I hope I am wrong though.

Odds are good it is simply maintenance to get it to function properly. There have been a lot of posts about problems with the site lately.

A CM on the reservation line told me they were getting ready to send a bunch of PIN codes out again - so stay tuned. I think she was trying to make me feel better when she told me she couldn't check to see if there were PIN's attached to my name. She told me they aren't allowed to do that anymore, but I will try again. That probably isn't what the maintenance is for, but just thought I'd share it

I got a PIN via email and when I called last week to check the rates using the code the CM made this statement "OH that's a great code. I had heard there were some new things getting ready to come out but I didn't know what they were." But I wouldn't think they would shut down the system for that. I am hoping it is the online ADR system.

They are just upgrading the on-line booking and reservations system.

i thought the same thing... then i remembered that the 7/4 deal booking window was originally slated to have ended already... so maybe new discounts in the works!!

I am sure you probably can. I have not had any problem doing that in the past when we had an AP.
