Romantic Dinner for a decent-ish price?

So I am planning a trip to Disney World All Star Sports for June 20-27 with my fiancé, brother, and little sister. Although we plan to have the quick service dining plan for the vast majority of our meals, my fiancé and I would like to do one fairly nice romantic dinner one night. She definitely likes Japanese food but I didn't particularly see any signature restaurants geared towards that. Also, I would like to keep it to about $100 for the two of us if possible.

P.S. If the restaurant you suggest is in another resort, please give me an idea of the best way to get there from All Star. Also, I plan on requesting a reservation through my Dreams Unlimited agent when I put my deposit in early this coming week.

Have you considered Tokyo Dining at Epcot? It's not a signature, but the service is fantastic and it's quite beautiful in a modern way. Dh an dI were impressed by the food, as well!

I give Teppen Edo @ Epcot a try. Maybe not romantic but it a nice place to eat at .

I think you would be surprised at Cali Grill. They have wonderful sushi, and you can get that and split an appetizer or salad and a dessert, and be within $100. As long as you don't get wine, that is. If you can snag a window seat, they have a gorgeous, panoramic view of the GF and Magic Kingdom.

If I were trying to get there from the All Stars, I'd take a bus to the MK, then resort monorail to the Contemporary. (well, actually, I'd probably take a cab, but if you are using the WDW system, that seems the easiest way to go)

You also could try Le Cellier. It is a smaller restaurant with that romantic feel. They also have some nice 2 top tables for that just the two of us feeling!

I would highly recommend the Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios. The restaurant is a replica of the Brown Derby that was in Hollywood, CA. where the original Hollywood elite would be seen. The actual chandelierand booths came from the original restaurant. Many recipies are from the original restaurant like the Grapefruit cake and the original Cobb salad was invented there. My wife and I visited there last year and spent about $80-$90, which included the tip. If you wanted a romantic restaurant you could not go wrong with the Brown Derby.

Here's another vote for the California Grill. If you want a quieter, more romantic twist to things, ask if you can be seated in their "wine room." It's a sweetly sedate spot, out of the ruckus of the main dining room.

The CG was where I came to understand there is a difference in sushi! Theirs is sublime.

It's not Japanese or Asian, but Narcoosee's is pretty special, too. Kinda noisy, perhaps. I've racked my brain trying to think of a non-sig spot in the resorts that I'd consider romantic ... my out of the box thought is the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs, or perhaps the Grand Floridian Cafe, just to stroll the grounds at the resort.

If you're a smart shopper, though, I gotta go with the CG.

LOL! Good point! I was just checking out the CG menu, and you don't even have to share an appetizer if you both order the sushi (to be within $100)! Here are some sushi photos from CG:

The restaurants suggested by the PPs are good, but they don't come close to CG, IMO. If there are fireworks at the MK on the night you book, you can try to book 45 minutes to an hour or so before; there's a great view, even if you don't get a window table, you can go out on the deck and watch. Or, if you book earlier in the evening, you are allowed to come back to watch the fireworks.

I also second tokyo dining for a relatively inexpensive romantic dinner. It's very nice inside, and not very big so it's a little more cozy. Service is outstanding and completely unrushed (but not annoyingly slow...they're very good at reading the table if you know what I mean). Food was excellent. It's probably our favorite Epcot restaurant.

Now I haven't eaten at any signature restaurants so I can't compare to the more expensive places, but tokyo dining is very very nice. (And relatively few kids because I think families lean towards teppanyaki)
