Flirting our Way through WDW 1 person at a time(New -2)Final Chapter

we have the little couch, and her parents are getting him all of the bedding, and they have a cars ceiling fan we are going to get, along with some borders and the pictures that i am drawing and the prints form MGM thta i will make.

that bed does sound cool, like a real racecar.

:welcome:

thank you for joining and hte comments, and yes i think it is ultimatelyup to the parents when they think there kids should go and if they would enjoy it, that is what i should have told that lady.

hope you stay with us.

Our 12 year old son had a blue race car as his first big boy bed. It was adorable. They are put out by like little tykes or something like that. They still sell them and they weren't real expensive if I remember right. We still have his. It is a flower "bed."

his crib is one of hte transforming ones that goes all the wy to a big boy bed, so we might stay with that one, or use it for the next baby, and get him a new one sometime. my nephew has a fire engine for a bed, it is pretty cool, my dad and brother in law wired it up for the lights to work.

Chapter 12. Light Show.

After seeing the cars, it was about time for hte lights to start, as we were walking over, we went the way that took us closest to the Lights motor action show, and watched there, as we were getting our spot the announcments started saying hte family name that would throw the switch, and talking about how the lights came about and stuff, some know the story, but i will briefly tell it for others that dont.

It was a man in Arkansas, that had all of these lights up because his daughter wanted to have lights outside, well his display grew and grew, he started getting complaints from neighbors so he bought there houses, and expanded his display into there yards, well it go so much that he had over 3 million lights at his property including one of the large trees and carousels on the roof of his house, disney bought his lights from him and expanded it to the current size of over 5 million lights that you see today.

the snow started to fall and the show began.

here are some pictures with few words.

Chapter 12. Continuation....

Well here is the videos from the show

this one is between light shows in the center of the streets a 360 degree view.

this one is of the tree doing its thing.

and here we are on the way out catching our last song, parker was a little shy of the lights flashing so much, but he liked it,these are both about 1 minute long so if you have dial up you might not want to click on them.

we went over to the muppets to use the restroom and here are a few of the displays over there.

DSC06981.jpg

we went to the park by the hat, and took some photopass pictures,

image0124.jpg

and then we got some popcorn in a souvenir cup it was a huge cup, it holds a whole bag of popcorn, and it had a really cool disney holiday display with the characters on it, and it was only like 3 bucks, not bad at all, i had to get candi the matching mug for a few dollars as well, to have a holiday drinking mug.

we saw the tree outside the park with its bright lights.
DSC06991.jpg

we rode the bus back to our room area drop off and left our stuff and went to fill up our mugs at htem main building, when we walked in the lobby they had some balloons from mickeys christmas party so i asked if parker could have one.

DSC06995.jpg

we did our nightly tour of the gift shop not wanting our first full day to end, and then made it back to the room, like most nights parker did good until we got to the pool area then wanted picked up out of his seat and carried back to the room.

when we got back he got naked and wanted to crawl around some and use up some energy, it was the end of our first full day and he was ready for a bath and some feeden. (note- we would not let him crawl around on a hotel floor unless it was bed time and we were going to wash him really good right away)he got his bath right after this.

Highlights of the first day.

1. Taking that first step into a park and knowing that it is real.
2. Seeing our peanuts face with his first characters.
3. The face while watching Clubhouse mickey, you know what i mean.
4. Smiles at AK
5. Playing with the Pooh crew at AK
6. riding on disney buses, they just rule.
7. Seeing the lights at MGM, and parker falling asleep in his seat from a long great day.
8. Parker being better than we could have imagined, and showing everyone that you can take a sub 1 year old to disney and have a great time.

That is the end of day number 2 first park day and i thank everyone for reading along, but dont be shy if you have not introduced yourself please do, it would be nice to know we have more readers and people joining in.

I love the pictures. And can you imagine the electric bill for all of those Christmas lights? Oh my!

Oh yay Dan! I remember JUST talking about the Osbourne light with you! I'm so glad that you and Candi got to see them AND Parker too before he fell asleep! :thumbsup2

yep they were awesome, candi got about 30 minutes of video of it all also.

You got some awesome pictures of the lights, I want to see them sooo badly.

they were worth teh trip on its own, very cool and would go back to see them many more times.

great installment! thanks for posting all the pics. i LOVE the osborne lights! i think they were my favorite part - even moreso than the castle! don't get me wrong - i LOVED the castle!!!! but those lights were just unbelievable. we went there at the very end of the night and by the time we left (an hour after park closing) we pretty much had the streets to ourselves. it was so cool!

and hes out....
DSC06929.jpg

i think it's fitting that the "peace on earth" sign is behind him. :)

Great pics and video! The Photopass in front of the hat is really cute. I saw the lights (unlit of course) when they were setting them up in October. It is really cool to see them lit up! I love the big popcorn tubs! I have one in my classroom that holds pieces for my calendar board. My students love it!

Hi!! I've been lurking and just had to comment! Parker is adorable and the three of you make a beautiful family!!

We are going this year, December 5-12 (Pop Warner week), staying at CBR. Your pictures make me even more excited to be going then. How were the crowds and how was the weather???

Can't wait to read more!!

wow, your pics of the Osborne lights came out amazing!!!

The pic with parker sleeping is so precious:)

I love the black and white photopass pic at the end

The light show sounded and looked so cool

Thanks for sharing:goodvibes

I am really enjoying your trip report. Parker is just a little doll baby. He is going to be a heart breaker for sure when he grows up.

We always go at Christmas time and enjoy the Osbourne lights. We missed this year, the first time in 26 years, because of the economy. Hopefully next year we can go back to see all those magical sights.

The Osbourne lights look so cool, I SO want to go to wdw at Christmas just to see all the decorations. Parker looks like he's having a blast. I love all the photopass pics, last time we were there the photographers were few and far between, seems like there's more opportunities to get photopass pics done now.
