character breakfast

It's on the 7 day cruises on sea days. Your specific day/time will correlate with your dining rotation and main/late seating.

Your server will hand out reminder tickets the night before.

Your breakfast is scheduled on the first sea day (incl. Key West day on Western) after your first dinner at Animator's Palatte. There is an early start time and a later start time depending on whether you have main or second dinner seating.

Is this a "given" or do you need to request tickets? I've heard both - that you automatically get tickets and that you have to hurry to guest services to get tickets before they're all gone.

Not any more.

On the Jan 3, Eastern we had the 8:30 rotation and our breakfast was on Thursday morning.

Character b'fast is a 'given' since it's a scheduled b'fast for your assigned dining time.
The 'hurry up to GS to get tickets' is for Tea with Alice they offer in the afternoon.

Character breakfasts are automatic depending on your dining rotation. You need to get tickets from guest services for things such as Tea with Alice and tastings.

Each guest has a spot at the character breakfast since it is based on your dinner rotation. You will sit at the same table number with the same servers as you have for your dinner.

The Cruise Character Breakfast should not be confused with the WDW Character meals ... there is no individual time with the characters and no autographs!! :guilty: They just dance around while you are eating and don't stop at the tables. We were disappointed by this and may skip it next time! You get more time with the characters on deck 9!!

Our character breakfast was the same day DH and I had scheduled Palo Brunch ... we almost cancelled our Brunch just so we could make the Character Breakfast (before we knew how it was run) ... luckily our head server was able to reschedule our Brunch for another at sea day.
;)

They now come around to each table again and the "handlers" will take pictures with your own camera.

The breakfast has changed recently. The characters in their DCL costumes now come around to the tables and greet you. No more conga lines!

How current is this? Early on, they came to the tables. Then for several years, it was the singing/dancing thing. Most recently, they were visiting the tables again for quick photos and autographs. Granted, it was much faster than the character meals in the parks, but they were doing the tables.

What time are the two Breakfast? We are waitlisted for early seating, so just wondering about both times.

Thanks

I believe they are 8:15 and 9:45. They may have changed of course since the last time we went to one.

We had 8:30 seating and our breakfast was at 9:45 on the third sea day.

Just to be clear--The character breakfast is only offered on the 7 day cruises, correct?
