refillable mugs

I have read about purchasing refillable mugs if you buy a meal deal but if we do not get this is their anything you can buy once at the parks that would be a refillable mug only? We do not think we would like the meal deal.

OK. So as I read that, the souvenier cup is only good for 1 day of "refills" at the parks? Is that correct?

that is true. but the other days that you are there you can refill them for either .69$or.79$ so it is a pretty good deal. I would check to make sure that you can buy the all day sipper mug by itself. I think you have to buy the meal deal too. Also, they have other mugs that you can buy in the park and get them refilled for .69 or .79.

The meal deal sipper cup is not the same as the souvenir cup. The souvenir cup has a big straw and really can't be sipped from easily. We bought our souvenir cups our first day there and took them to the parks everyday after that. Refills were .69 before tax for soda and free for ice water.

bring the mug!!

i have been bringing mine since the mid 1990's......they don't even have my mug design anymore.

the mug is valid for life for the cheap refills.

i even show my AP for the 10% discount off the cheap refill rate.


mugs are different.
you can get about any ride mug or character mug.
if you bought it from universal, it is refillable at a cheap price.

Everything seems to be sorted, but to clarify there is a red refillable "mug" that can be purchased and used without the Meal Deal. The Meal Deal has a blue "mug" that goes with the plan.

The refillable mug does say "Good for day of purchase only" in tiny tiny print, but the girl who sold it to us said it doesn't matter, there is no date printed on the mug for them to know.

I'll keep my eye on this thread. I'm going to work at WDW for a year but plan to buy a Annual Universal Pass because of the amount of visits i'm likely to make.

If i can buy a refillable mug and keep topping up for only 70c then i'll be all for that.

How much would a regular coke cost each time if i didn't buy a refillable mug? $2 a time?

Yeah, a large drink is $2.99, after 2-3 refills you should break even. But I am not sure how many ounces the cup holds in comparison.

Appreciate that. If i'm in Orlando for a year, then with an annual Universal Pass, i may be going there at least once a month.

I'm trying to budget and spend as little money as i can while i'm there. Where as a meal with drink may cost $12, i only tend to eat twice a day but drink a lot to keep hydrated in the heat so it may cheaper to buy a refill mug and keep topping up throughout the day.

Plus as an annual holder i'd get 20% off the 70c refills

the premiere annual pass gives you the great discounts.
power passes offer no discounts.

it's not like the disney mugs really.

you can buy any type, style of mug you choose at universal.

some have handles, some don'ts.

they have the hard plastic type of lid with long plastic type of bendy straw.
most of the lids are attached at one section so they don't fall off.


i bought my dueling dragons mug when that ride opened.
may 1999


i still use it in the parks.
once you buy an universal mug, it is valid for refills at the refill price forever.


came back to add that anyone can buy the refillable mugs at universal.
the refill cost is cheap, very cheap.

if you have the AAA or AP, you can get a 10% discount on that refill.....

Do any of the mugs have the year on them? I like souvenirs that tell you the date you got it!
