Lockers at US/IOA?

I haven't been to US or IOA for about 3 years. I remember that next to some of the more "intense" rides, there were free lockers to store your stuff (free for like 1 or 2 hours, I think).

Do those still exist? Are they still free for that short amount of time? If they do exist, what rides are they next to now?

I'm debating taking my DSLR camera, but I'll skip it if it's going to be a major hassle to store.

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know which rides they are next to now? I'm assuming they're still free?

The free lockers are at MIB, Mummy, Hulk, and Dueling Dragons. They are free while you ride the attraction. If the wait time is say 30 minutes for MIB, then the lockers are free for about 1 hour. If the wait time is 1 hour, the lockers may be free for 1 1/2 hours, etc. They are set up to be used while you are on that ride only. The free lockers are only at the rides that require you to put your carry-on items in a locker.

If you need a locker for the full day, you can rent one for $8-$10 at the front of both parks. With those lockers, you can open them several times a day without ending your rental. On the free lockers, if you open them then your locker time ends.

What about at IOA for the water rides? Are there free lockers to put your stuff in so nothing gets drenched?

I believe there are lockers near all water rides but I'm not sure if they're free or not.

No they aren't free. You can get a plastic merchandise bag and put your stuff in that. That will keep the water off. Popeye's has a section in the center of the barge to put your stuff in.

the 'free' lockers are only provided on attractions where you are not permitted carry-on items. Since you are welcome to take your $300 camera on the water rides... no free lockers. *insert evil grin here*

that is because you cannot sue Universal if your camera gets wet but if your camera falls out of your bag/off your arm & hits someone, they can sue Universal.. Universal is looking out for Universal .. not our $300 cameras...

On that note, I think I'll leave my $800 DSLR camera at the condo that day. :scared1:
