Hilton Head

It's 5 hours from Savannah, so add another hour to get to HH resort.

We drove it last week. 300 miles, it took us about 5.5 hours.

Maybe this will help, taken at HH resort

I think it's worth the drive. HHI is our home resort and over the years we have many times stayed Sun - Friday at HHI then drove on Friday to WDW and then spent the next 3 days there. Made for a long drive back to Pittsburgh but a nice trip. Would be a very relaxing way to end a WDW vacation. We've usually made it in about 5 hours (including a lunch stop on the way).

If you are interested in seeing the resort -- check out the link to the site I put together after our trip last year: http://web.mac.com/apulk/DVC_HHI_Site_/Welcome.html

:thumbsup2 - I usually drive straight to wdw from NY- but last month, i figured I stay at HHI as a stop overnight going and back, it was beautiful there. Im so glad they have HHI, now i'm gonna do that everytime. I had the 2 bedroom and it was beautiful. Although it was off season and not much to do, but I felt like i was the only one there and it was nice and quiet. Gotta love it. :woohoo:

apulk, the site is beautiful. I'm looking for one picture that I can't find, however. Does anyone have a picture they could post of the area where the bird feeders are? It's shortly past the boardwalk, and the pathway splits to go around it. We were staying in Building 18 last time, right behind it, and I forgot to take a picture of it. I keep remembering how much I liked it.
