Hello everyone! Well, I am VERY late in writing this trip report, but I figured better late than never! Bear with me because this is my first trip report, but I've read so many great reviews on the board that I thought I'd give it a try!

Lets start with the basics:
We took our trip in May 2008 and it turned out to be the BEST TRIP TO WALT DISNEY WORLD THAT I HAVE EVER HAD, OR WILL EVER HAVE!!!!!

It was me, my immediate family, some aunts, some uncles, and most importantly, my grandma and grandpa. They were the reason we took the trip in the first place! We went to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary!!! (to learn more about who went read my pre-trip report ;) )

I'm going to try and do a day by day run down of everything...and I'll try to be as detailed as possible. Here is an overview of our days:

May 29, Day 1: Arrived at the World and checked into our Resort (CBR); Dinner at O'hana!!!

May 30, Day 2: EPCOT - Lunch at Le Cellier, VIP seating at Tony Orlando, and VIP spot for Illuminations

May 31, Day 3: DHS - VIP seating and Backstage Tour of "Lights, Motors, Action!", VIP seating for the parade, Dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe

June 1, Day 4: AK - VIP seating for the Lion King Show, VIP seating for Nemo and Friends, Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

June 2, Day 5: MK - Lunch at Columbia Harbour House, Dinner at The Plaza Restaurant, VIP seating for parade, VIP location for Wishes (BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!)

June 3, Day 6: DHS and MK - Lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater, Dinner at Cosmic Rays

June 4, Day 7: Beaches n' Cream, the Beach

Stay Tuned!

Do you have some "magical pixie dust" leftover? Sounds like it's once in a life time vacation for you all.

So after a two day trip (14hrs total) in the car, we finally arrived at our resort, Coronado Springs. We went inside the main building, I took tons of pics, and we checked in. The cast member was so nice and very helpful! I even took a picture of her when she wasn't looking :thumbsup2

Anyway, so we went to our rooms and got settled in. Me and my family were right next to my Grandma and Grandpa on one side, and then on the other side was my Aunt Nancy, and then next to her was my Aunt Marybeth! We were all right there! :goodvibes Here are a few pics of our room:

The best part about walking into our room was finding the presents that were waiting for us! We got a basket with a picture of the fab 5 inside, signed to us! In addition, we also got Year of a Million Dreams light up ears with each of our names embroidered on them!

After we were done exploring our gift basket, we freshened up and went to meet the rest of our group at O'hana's. I was sooooo excited for this part of the trip because I had seen so many pictures of their food and read so many reviews that my mouth was watering as soon as I got in the car.
One thing I love about the Polynesian is the center waterfall in the main lobby. I could stand there and take pictures of it all day. But of course I couldn't because had some yummy food to eat!

Here's Grandma and Grandpa in front of the waterfall:

They were waiting for us!

Stay tuned, O'hana dinner is next!

You have me hooked..... Looking forward to reading more about this trip....
How did you get VIP for everything? It didn't look like you had this reserved in your pre trip report.

And congratulations to your grandparents - 60 years is amazing....

We had an ADR so we didn't have to wait long for our table. However, if you knew my aunts, you'd know that they'd want a drink right away :lmao: So, they ordered a fruity drink to share, but I can't remember what it was called. It was inside a pinapple though. I made the suggestion for them after reading about is on the boards. My sister also got a drink that I can't remember the name of and so did my mom. Soon, we were seated and I could already smell all the yummy food! We didn't know that they usually give you leis, so we brought our own.

Here is some of our group before dinner:
Grandma and Grandpa:

My uncle Tony took a sip...needless to say it was very sour!

First they brought out the "appetizers." This included the wontons with the three dipping sauces (if I remember correctly, one is a peanut sauce, but I can't remember the others all I know is that they were good :) ) Also, they brought out the bread, the salad, and the sticky wings. There was also broccolli.

(these were sooo good!)
61680770.jpg

Then they brought out all the meats: steak, turkey, and shrimp. Let me tell you, these shrimp were the best that I have ever eaten! :worship:
Next, the lady who was walking around singing came over to our table. She found out that it was my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. So she asked if they had any special requests for her. Little did she know that they went to Hawaii for their honeymoon! So my grandpa asked her if she would play "Tiny Bubbles"...and she did! So they got up and danced...it was so cute!

Saying "kowa bunga!"

Then, after we were already stuffed and before dessert even came out, me and my sister were forced to embarrass ourselves! Well, at least according to my sister...I had tons of fun! The woman with the music asked us if we would help her lead the conga line and help do the limbo. So we stood up, were each given grass skirts, more leis, moraccas, and I was given the limbo pole. The conga line came first, so I followed closely behind the woman and danced around the restaurant...hey I don't know any of these people, right?

After all that...we still had to eat dessert! But instead of the bread pudding, they brought out the anniversary cake that we had made for my grandparents.

We were sooo stuffed, but then the bread pudding came out and I couldn't turn it down! It was too delicious!

Phew! That was a long evening! But it was a great start to an amazing vacation! Just the cherry on top!

Stay tuned!

Thank you! Actually, we didn't have any of it planned! They just surprised us...but my mom had been in contact with someone at Disney...they just loved our story so much that they decided to surprise us!

For our first day we decided to go to EPCOT. We were at the World during the Flower and Garden Festival so there were beautiful characters and designs everywhere. I had never been to Disney during this event, so it was very exciting to see it all! And of course I took a picture of practically every topiary there was!

First we went to Guest Services to get some anniversary pins for my grandparents. But it was also my Aunt Nancy's birthday so she got a crown too!

61680756.jpg

On our way into the heart of the park, a member of the Dream Team stopped and talked to us. I was excited because I thought maybe we might have won something. But no such luck :upsidedow Oh well!

61680754.jpg

Then we visited Figment and explored the Kodak studio. A very nice woman stopped our group to find out what we were all about (after all, there were 11 people all dressed alike!). So we explained that we were there for the anniversary and she wanted to take a picture of us.

61680745.jpg

61680744.jpg

And she kept our picture up there all day!
61680747.jpg

We also took some pictures outside of The Land and The Living Seas:

Thank you! We definitely will never forget this trip! The CBR was great! The whole resort definitely felt carribbean! :goodvibes Their food court was delicious and the whole atmosphere is great! We didn't get to check out the pool because they were re-modeling it when we were there :( But they had a picture of what it was going to look like and it looks like it will be really cool! I'm not sure when the scheduled date is to be open? But here is a pic of it:

surprisingly, the crowds weren't too bad...we are used to going in july and august when the crowds can get pretty big, so we were happy...but with all the fastpasses and stuff that you can do, lines were not a problem...i would say the longest wait we had all trip was for the backlot tour and that was only about 25 min....oh, well toy story was a little longer, maybe 35, but still...not bad! hope you have fun on your trip :cool1: ...and thanks for reading! :thumbsup2

Great TR! Where did you all get your shirts at? I love them!

thank you! we actually had a local shop make them for us. we just bought the blue shirts at a store (i think Target) and then bought the iron on patches and she put it all together for us! :upsidedow
