45 min? DHS to AKL?

We have an ADR immediately following the last Fantasmic show at DHS at Boma's located at AKL in Jan. on 1/26. We had planned to have a car rental, but if I turn it in the day before, I can save almost $60 with the $10.00 Alamo weekend rate. If I keep our 8:15 ressie and assuming fantasmic ends at 7:30 how would we get to AKL and is 45 minutes enough time to get there. What would a cab cost if we took one? And lastly, how would we get back to the Poly after dinner. I believe there is a late EM at MK that night, so I assume we could take the bus to MK, then the monorail back to the Poly, unless someone advises otherwise. Thanks in advance to the dis-ers that respond:worship: !

Fantasmic might end at 7:30 but you need time to exit out the stadium, make your way to the busses, wait in line with everyone else doing the same thing. Then make the trip to AKL. 45 minutes isn't enough time. Figure a cab at $15-20 dollars one way. Really I'd move the ADR back 20 minutes if you can or skip F!.

I agree about 45 minutes not being enough time. Fantasmic doesnt always start on time either. & exiting the park after Fantasmic can be time consuming.

If you keep your ADR, your best best is to arrange for a cab & leave Fabtasmic a little early to avoid that huge rush of people exiting.

You might also want to call the restaurant on your way out & let them know you might be a few minutes late & you are on your way. They are usually accomodating when this happens.

Its cutting it close, but its not impossible. As others have said, your biggest obstacle is leaving Fantasmic. My biggest suggestion would be to get an aisle seat toward the top, and leave with about 1 min left in the show. This will help you beat most of the crowd, but its still quite a walk from there to the exit. A cab is definitely your fastest option. I only say its not impossible because my wife and I once decided to catch Wishes as we were exiting Fantasmic. We only had an hour, and only had bus as our transport option, but we made it with about 5 minutes to spare:thumbsup2

Absolutely....

Actually let me rethink that...forgot about the parking lot tram. It would probably be close, but you should be ok. I would def. valet to save a few minutes walking up to the hotel....

Is Valet offered to resort guests at a charge, or is it complimentary? Thanks.

There is a charge. So if you want to avoid that, whoever is driving could drop you at the front door so you can go check in at the restaurant while they park the car....
