POP to Poly

Here's my thought - will it work?

We'll be using disney transportation to go from POP to the Poly on an upcoming trip. My thought is, instead of taking the bus to the MK, then walking up the ramps and taking the monorail to the Poly, we'd just take the bus to AK (our closest park) and take a bus directly to the Poly.

Am I on target?

Yes, it will work but it will quite probably take you a lot longer to do that. I'd go with the bus to MK and then the monorail.

Why would it take longer? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

My thinking is:

1) AK is closer to my home resort than MK
2) At MK we have to walk from the bus stop to the monorail station, hike up the ramps, and wait for a monorail.
3) At AK - we walk a few stops down and jump on the next bus (and it will be around 4:00, so buses should be plentiful).

I always thought Hollywood Studios was the closest park to Pop? Maybe it just seems like that bus trip is the fastest.

Studios is right around the corner from Pop, I would go Pop to ST to Poly.

Either way will work - depending on the circumstances on any given day at any given time, one way might be faster than the other - you can't controll the variables - you might just miss the bus to HS or AK at POP and have to wait 20-30 minutes for the next, you could get to HS or AK and miss the bus to the Poly and have wait on another one - you could get to the MK and miss the monorail or they don't leave right away, and they stop at the Contemporary and the TTC.

When using Disney Transport, you have to go with the flow - pick a route and go with and not worry too much about the fastest.

just take the first bus that arrives, and take the poly bus from that location.

Just to throw one more idea at you that would work: If you see an EPCOT bus, take it. Fairly easy walk from the EPCOT bus stop to the monorail. Then get off at TTC and walk to Poly. Very easy walk.
