Planning on flying out of LAX around 11pm or midnight. Will the ME still pick us up if we get there about 6-7am??

DME is a 24/7 operation. You will be able to use it no matter what time you arrive.

The same thing you would do any other time - follow the instructions in the Magical Express packet you will get several weeks before your trip. Proceed to the Welcome Center following the directions in the booklet, and any signage or Cast Members with Mickey hands if available. Send ONE adult from your party to the line while the rest of your party waits in the large, comfortable area to the side (as directed by Cast Members greeting Guests at the entrance to the queue). Check in. Proceed, with your entire party, to the Red Carpet area when you are ready and follow that Cast Member's directions to the line for your resort's bus. If there is a bus boarding you will be directed to it immediately; if there is not one, you will wait indoors in the line until one arrives. Board the bus as directed; relax; follow the bus driver's instructions; exit at your resort.

Do you have any suggestions on what to do when I arrive at DW around 6 or 7am???

You may luck out if they had a room empty the night before. Otherwise, I would go to breakfast and then head for a park. You could crash in the lobby if you are tired.

Get something to eat if you want, then head to the DME area. Goto your resort and check in. IF it's during a slower time, you may actually have your room assigned, if not, it will already be 8-9 by the time you use DME and get to your resort, just drop your bags with bells services and goto a park!

I did just that on a recent trip. I was at DL for a week, then flew straight to WDW on the redeye for the weekend. My plane arrived at 6:18 am, I proceeded to DME and got to my resort about 7:15 am. I checked in, but my room wasn't ready. I went to the bath house at the pool and took a shower and changed clothes, then dropped my carryon bag with luggage services. I then had some breakfast, then met my DH who arrived from Nashville about 10:30 am. We then headed for the parks.

Thats a great idea!!! Do all the resorts have a bath house???

But how exhausted were you? Did you have to waste a day making up for all the sleep that you missed?

Thanks for you comment!

I slept pretty well on the plane. I took an over the counter sleep aid after the beverage service, plugged in the earphones to the "soothing music" channel, and didn't wake up until the wheels touched down.

I believe there is a shower at each of the pool locations at every resort.

Never thought about taking an otc sleeping aid...

That I'm gonna have to look into!

Thanks!
