Alamo car rental rate - can I do better?

Got a mini-van for $215.39 for 6 days on Alamo, Jan 8 - 13. Can I do any better than this rate? I am using the $199 contract rate and a $40.00 coupon.

I've been watching the rates for quite a while and I haven't seen one better. For us, Jan 10-Jan 16, Alamo minivan, $218.08 total cost. Quite improved from initial booking and I may give up trying to do better....gotta start focusing my attention on packing....YAY! Happy travels.

I just checked using the Costco code 7014627 and $40.00 coupon AD2051MMD and you can get the Toyota Sienna which is less than the regular minivan rate for $198.90 total. This includes the free additional driver as well. The rate you are using does not include a free additional driver which is like $10.00 a day extra. By the way don't worry about the Costco membership card since they have never asked me for it in the many times I have used it.

This didn't work for me. When I put in the contract and the coupon code, I don't even end up with an option of choosing a van.

I went back and checked and I did get a van as one of my choices, but it came up as $349.23 for the base rate before taxes and fees. What did I do wrong?

My pick up time is 11:00 a.m. on 1-8 and return time is 5:00 p.m. on the 13th.

the 199 special says that the mini van needs to be picked up by the 31st-- it wont let me do the special for travel dates 1/28-2/4 wonder why??

Hi Webworm. Where do I put in the Costco code. I've tried a few different ways and am not getting anything near that rate.

If you click on more options you can enter the ID and Coupon code. The rates are higher for Jan 10 - 16 though.

I'm not aware of the Sam's club discount since I don't have a membership. I wouldn't worry if you don't have a Costco membership since I have rented from Alamo probably close to 10 times now and not once have I ever been asked to show my Costco card.

that one gave me a good deal on an Equinox, but I need to seat 6 and that won't. The mini-van was over $300, the Siena was over $400.00

If you go to mousesavers.com under car rentals you will find it. In my experience they have never asked for it since it is an ecoupon but you can print it and bring it just in case.

I have tried all of the different rates (currently have the $199/week minivan with the $40 coupon for $218), and they don't show any minivans or Equinoxs available for pick up on 1/1. With my luck we'll be driving a Suburban, they seem to have plenty of them.

Do you mean, try National car rental? If so, is "florida 7014667" a contract id?

Does anyone knwo if they will have another coupon like this to be used in April? Cuz I need to rent a car for two weeks and this would be agreat coupon to have.
