Chip and Dale's Campfire

We are going to the Hoop-Dee-Do tonight and wanted to know if the Campfire Sing-a-long was scheduled? If so, what time? Can we attend even though we are not staying at the campground?

You can certainly go whether you are staying at the campground or not. I am reasonably certain the Sing-a-long is scheduled, but some one will doubtless be along with a more concrete answer for you. Enjoy the HDDR! My favorite dinner show!

It starts about 7pm, but don't worry about being late, people come and go all thru it.

I'm staying off-site in a condo. Does that make a difference if I can go? Where is it located?

The Singalong starts at 7pm and is over by about 745pm then the movie starts. You can come a few minutes early to roast marshmellows (all the sticks, marshmellows, graham crackers, available at the chuck wagon snack stand behind the bleachers). It takes place EVERY night.

It is located in an amphitheater with a big screen near the Bike Barn and Meadows trading post (in the center of Fort Wilderness). Chip and Dale come out and then circulate in the crowd for pictures and autographs (ps-they LOVE chocolate chip cookies). So no need to rush around - one of them will eventually come to you.

Anyone can participate even if you are staying off property. It's corny and fun and one our favorites at Fort Wilderness. Depending on your show time for HDDR, you can catch a bus between the Meadows TP and Pioneer Hall or it's about a 10 minutes walk.

I usually throw in the caveat that technically, only Disney resort guests are permitted to use Disney transportation, but, you are attending the HDDR which permits you to use bus transport to go from the HDDR parking (affectionately known as the overflow lot to us campers), so you are in the clear. IIRC the HDDR is about one hour ten minutes.

I have been to the campfire hundreds of times, nobody cares who you are or how you got there. You may however be required to clap and be picked on depending on who is leading the singalong and what sort of mood Dale is in.

You should be able to make the campfire at the beginning of the singalong. The movies are posted here at the first of the month.

The chuckwagon has snacks and drinks (typical high Disney prices) but I suspect you wont be to hungry or thirsty if you just come out of the HDDR

I think HDDR runs about a full 2 hours. You don't want to miss the finale and leave early. If you hustle out quickly catch a bus immediately, you probably won't miss to much. You might miss the first few minutes of the singalong (the opening song, the intro of C&D, and the like).

Up to you, you might want to come back on a second night and enjoy the singalong/movie without the rush. But probabilities are high there will be some overlap.
