We're going to be booking a boardwalk view studio, but I'm sure last time we stayed we requested a certain room number as we were told it had a good view of the fireworks etc. The room we were actually in (I think we pretty much got the room we requested if I remember rightly) was above the Big River Grille, and was a great location, other than the looooong walk to the elevator!!

Anyone have any recommendations?

My only request when we stay at BWV is close to the elevators. Those halls are LONG!

There are no BW View rooms close to the elevators.

Just request a higher or lower floor whatever you prefer.

We have stayed in 3007 twice which is directly above the model unit on the Boardwalk. It also appeared to be adjacent to the 1 br that Samantha Brown stayed in for one of her travel channel shows...

We have stayed in the villas for years, both 2 bedroom and studios. Don't have a recommendation for a room, but we really don't worry about location since we just take the stairs. They lead to the Boardwalk, the pool, and the walkway to the studios. We find this easier than walking back to the elevators and waiting for the elevator.

Ahh yes I forgot to mention this, as thats what we always do also. Its especially convenient when stumbling back from Jelly Rolls:thumbsup2

We stayed in 3065 this July and really enjoyed it. It's the first or second room on the right from the elevators. It had a view of the courtyard in front of the lobby and, to the left, the Boardwalk and lake. It was right above the walkway from the courtyard (is that the right word?) to the pool area which made for the only downside on a Saturday night when a group of people stood underneath our window chatting and laughing until about midnight or so. Overall, though, we thought it was ideal as far as proximity to the elevators as well as a nice view (I've heard that unless you're a DVC member getting a BWV view with a direct view of the Boardwalk is next to impossible).

Anyone know the room numbers for over the Big River Grille?

Either of these 2 directly above the canopy with the block walled balconies rather than the spindle style:

We stayed in one of these last time, and we'd actually be quite happy with this again! Just can't remember the darn number for the life of me!!

We've stayed there too but in a 2 bd. It's great for views, not so great for noise if there are drunks at 2 am. It is a fantastic location though and allllllllll the way down the hall. There was 1 room past us. The long hallways don't bother me though. It's an adventure.
