At WDW now where is channel 96?

I thought channel 96 used to have the old cartoons. Where are they? We were at POFQ for two nights and we could not find it. Now we are at SSR and still no luck. Does anyone know?

When we were at then Poly in June 2008 we had to push the channels nmbers (96) in order to get to that channel. We couldn't just cycle through the channels and find it. I hesitated to post this, but thought I should just in case.

We are currently at CSR and noticed that the channel had been missing. We were at POFQ and AKL before coming here but couldn't remember the exact channel number to punch in. Just punched in 96 on our tv here at CSR and it worked the channel is in nice and clear!!! Hope you get it fixed on your TV and thanks for reminding me of the number!!! Disney TV is bad enough it's always good to have old disney cartoons to fall back on!

Agh! It doesn't work here. It is so frustrating anyone know why it won't work at all resorts? It didn't work here at SSR or at POFQ.

We are here for 12 nights. We stayed at POFQ for 2 nights we are at SSR for 3 nights, followed by BC for 7 nights. We are having a great time too. No need to rush because we have plenty of time! My boys love the old cartoons so we asked the front desk and at the Community Hall about channel 96 and no one really knows anything about it. The man at the Community Hall put it on down there and it worked.

Thanks, I hope so too! It has always been a great way to have some down time in our room. I just can't figure out why some rooms and/or resorts have it and some don't. Other that everything is great and I might never want to go home! Thanks!

This past August at the Contemporary they had the channel, however most of the time it was not working. So I wonder if all the other Resorts are having problems with it?

I was at Beach Club last week, and I tried and tried but Channel 96 simply wasn't there. I knew to try it manually on the remote, but nothing. I love that channel - I have no idea why they don't make it more mainstream. Instead it seems to be disappearing.

My DD loves to watch those cartoons! We haven't been able to find it lately. Last summer, we were at Pop (and Dolphin), but they didn't have it. About two years ago, they did have it at the Boardwalk.

Hope we get it at Yacht Club in June!!!

Channel 96 is hit and miss, even at the same resort. The only constant that I can relate in my experience is that each time I've had to punch in the number; it did not appear while scrolling through the channels.

Here's the recent history that I've experienced:

CBR - Barbados - October 08 - not working
CBR - North Trinidad - September 08 - working
Yacht Club - August 08 - working
POR, Magnolia Bend - June 08 - not working
CSR, Casitas 2 - April 08 - working
CSR, Casitas 3 - February 08 - working
CR - Garden Wing - September 06 - working

As you can see, no rhyme or reason. CBR was really odd and it was a trade-off, North Trinidad was an old room but had channel 96, Barbados was a new room, but no channel 96...

This past summer we stayed at BWV, AKV, and WLV and there was no channel 96. We too knew that you had to plug it in manually but it was no where to be found. I even asked someone down in the lobby and they had no idea what i was talking about. Geez!

I wondered what was up. We were just at BWI in October 08 and no old cartoons. I did not know to try channel 96... I was sad too. My DD and I love those old things! It was playing at BWV in January 08.... I head back to AKV and BWV in Jan09 - I will check again.

Thank you for all of your responses, know I know I'm not crazy! Tonight is our last night here at SSR and I will try it at the BCV tomorrow. I wish they had it in all rooms all of the time. I will keep you posted!

Just thought I would give an update. We checked into BCV last night and we have channel 96!
