Pop Century or CBR?

Are the differences between Pop Century and CBR worth the price difference, in your opinion? We're a family of 5 (kids 6, 4 & 2) on a budget, if that matters. Thanks!

For your situation (3 kids), and if you're on a budget, POP will probably be the better choice. I love CBR (we'll be there in about a month), but in your case you'll like that POP is a little more compact than CBR (less walking to/from Food Courts, main pool, etc.), and your kids will get a kick out of the huge icons.

At CBR you can request a preferred room, but those cost more than the standard room and that defeats the purpose of the 'on a budget' part.

CBR's pool was just refurbished and it has a sit-down restaurant, but in your case it might not be worth the additional money just for that.

Basically, you'll have a great time at POP.

We love CBR. DH and I as well as the kids! ~ Beautiful grounds, white sand beaches, hammocks by the lake, Caribbean music playing quietly everywhere, a relaxing tropical feel, a beautiful bridge and island, great and huge food court, friendly CM's, double sinks in the bathroom with LOTS of storage space underneath, and the LARGEST rooms of all the moderates! All that, PLUS a brand new zero entry pool with 2 slides and the new children's pirate pool. It’s like a vacation within a vacation, a “leave your worries at the door” kind of place!

We've never stayed at POP, so I can't really comment there. I know a lot of people like it there! It looks like fun. But for us we prefer a more quiet relaxing resort because we spend a lot of "down time" at the resort.

I'm sure your kids would love either and you will pick what is best for you family. Good luck!

One of the things we liked the most about the POP was the transportation gos to and usually from the POP, if you have ever stayed at the All-Stars you are more than aware that the buses pick up for ALL or the All-Star resorts...as for the CBR i'm not certain if they combine other resorts with bus pick up times......It was nice late at night to jump on the POP buses and go directly to the resort.

Neither POP or CBR share buses with any other resorts, which is very nice!

I like CBR better than Pop because we like to relaxe at the resort. It does have 7 bus stops and costs a bit more. IMO it's worth it. We did like Pop but don't think it's somewhere I would want to be for a whole week. I prefer deluxe resorts unless I'm on a budget. Which I think lots of us are now. Both are fun places with kids the ages of yours. Mine did prefer CBR to Pop and they are 8 & 4,LOL.
