POLY ?? about toddler sleeping

How have you guys handled sleeping with a toddler at the Poly? We just changed our trip to get in on the 4/3 deal, so now she'll only be 22 months when we go. She's already too long to sleep in her pack n play. Just wondering what some others have done. TIA

I'm not staying at Poly but I will be traveling with a 23 months old and am in the same situation. She's too big for the portacrib too. I'm hoping to put her in the one double bed with my son while my husband and I sleep in the other. I think I'm going to request bedrails- possibly two sets if necessary. I figure I'll put two on her side, one along the bottom, and one on my son's side, leaving the bottom of his side open for potty trips. That's the best I could come up with! Anyone else have any suggestions?

Well standard furnishing at the Poly are 2 queen beds and 1 twin size daybed. To the OP, you should certainly be able to use the daybed for your DD, just request a bedrail for the outside edge. It's against a wall and the arms of the sofa form a sort of top & bottom rail. Or I suppose you could request 3 bedrails (for sides & bottom) and have her sleep on the other queen bed, but that seems a little overkill for a not yet 2 year old.

To the PP poster, putting 2 kids in 1 double bed should be fine, just be sure to call housekeeping as soon as you get in the room and let them know how many bedrails you think you'll need. Alternatively you could bring along a small inflatable mattress and set the little one up on the floor, can't fall if you're already on the floor.

The Polynesian has small cribs. They aren't full size but I think they are longer than pack and plays.

Also, when ours were toddlers and we moved them to real beds, bedrails weren't in fashion. They never fell out of bed...not once. I think I'd be more frightened that the child would get wedged between the rail and mattress?

The daybed would work perfectly for an almost two year old. My dd who was 6 at the time would not let anyone else sleep on it. She loved it. Just ask for a bed rail to keep her from falling off the front.

The bedrails don't fit tight on the daybed. My DS 2 at the time leaned on it while sleeping and fell out from under the bedrail. the bedrails work better on the regular beds. They are queen beds so can easily fit 2 children. Just request bedrails when you check in or from housekeeping.

We're staying at the Poly for our March trip with 2 2year olds and 1 4 year old. We plan to put the 4 year old on the day bed and the 2 year olds in the other queen bed with bed rails.

When DD was a toddler we used the daybed at the Contemporary and requested a bed rail. We did the same thing at the Poly earlier this year cause even at the age of 5 she still falls out of the bed!

THE COUCH THAT CONVERTS INTO A "TWIN BED" IS PERFECT SIZE FOR A 2 YEAR OLD. IF SHE HAS PROBLEMS WITH FALLING OUT OF BED, YOU CAN TRY THR RAILS OR YOU CAN GET A SMALL BLOW UP MATRESS AND LAY IT NEXT TO THE COUCH SO THAT IF SHE DOES FALL OUT IT DOESN'T HURT!
