What to order at Starring Rolls?

I've read here that the sandwiches and pastries are very good at Starring Rolls in DHS (there are so few good CS places there!). Can anyone recommend exactly what to order at Starring Rolls? Do they have the same choices every day?

I think the choices are the same every day. I've had the veggie sandwich twice. Very good

They have three choices: ham, turkey or veggie. They are premade & have mustard or spread already on them. The desserts were great, but both the turkey and ham sandwiches were just okay.

We love Starring Rolls! :thumbsup2 I really like the turkey sandwich, and the Napoleon for dessert is delicious! :lovestruc Here's a picture of these two items:

We'll be doing a proper review of Starring Rolls when we finally get around to updating our food report :rolleyes1

Thanks for the pics. I hope to eat there next month for lunch.

What is the Napoleon?

The sandwich looks very thick but is it filling?

Just remember that they close early (I think 4 pm at the latest)-- so don't plan on a CS dinner there.
Oh and you can ask for the Derby's famous grapefruit cake there!

I found the sandwich to be very filling, but I still managed to squeeze in room for my Napoleon!:rotfl: The Napoleon is lots of layers of delicious, flaky pastry, with thin layers of cream in between (probably about 10 layers of each), and then that layer of sweet vanilla icing you can see on the top in the picture. If you're at all a fan of desserts that are not chocolaty, I would highly recommend it!:thumbsup2 I found the Napoleon at Starring Rolls to be better than the ones I've gotten at the bakery in France at the WS.

We love their chocolate croissants!! Yum! But if you don't get it early enough, they run out.

we've had that turkey sandwich on foccacia bread...very filling (large portion - while the sandwich in the above picture looks very good, it's not giving you a very good idea of the size of the sandwich portion they give. It is plenty big enough for any adult.) There's also another sandwich with roast beef on it that was good. DD had the veggie sandwich & like it. For one counter service credit, you get the sandwich, chips, drink & your choice of pastry item for dessert. There's also a couple of cold dessert selections...one was some kind of cheesecake called "banana split" or something like that. One person in our party got that & really, really loved it.

The chocolate croissants, chocolate muffin, cookies, & blueberry muffins are all very good.

Can you take the meal to go?

I'm thinking of getting lunch here as I leave the park to go to the Mandara Spa at the Dolphin. DH will probably take the boys to Pizza Planet (blech  )

Do they put mustard or mayo on the Turkey Sandwich?

Thanks. :flower3:
