Sandwiches at Main Street Bakery?

I am pretty sure I read somewhere that they have sandwiches at the Main Street Bakery. Does anyone know what kinds? Are they any good?

Anywhere else for good sandwiches in the Magic Kingdom?

We want to grab a quick sandwich before our mid day break (with two young kids). I am debating Main Street Bakery, Gasparilla Grill (Grand Flor), or?

open to suggestions! Thanks! (not looking for pizza or burgers right now :) )

Main Street Bakery does have sandwiches. They are, however, premade and kept in a cold case. That said, my husband and I had great turkey, cheese and cranberry sandwiches there. Would have been better either warm or at room temperature since it was raining outside; but we were happy to have them :rotfl2:

I would do the Bake Shop before Gasparilla Grill - I think that's one of the worst quick service restaurants in all of WDW. Another option is Columbia Harbour House, and I think Cosmic Ray's has sandwiches too.

I miss the clam chowder in a bread bowl at Columbia Harbour House! It used to be my favorite and last time we were there it was gone.

But we do love The Plaza (when it is open) too. The hours vary depending on the season and often it is closed when we are there.

We had the sandwiches at Main Street Bakery and were disappointed. As someone else mentioned they are premade and nothing special. However, the baked goods were very good. If you are on the Dining Plan you can use a CS credit for two drinks and two pastries. With a deal like that who needs a sandwich?:rotfl2:

If you have your heart set on a sandwich I would recommend Columbia Harbour House.

Not on the dining plan, thanks though!

I guess we'll try something else... I have two toddlers who aren't really that into the food I have seen on a lot of the menus (not to mention my own pickiness :) ) I was just looking for somewhere to get a decent deli type sandwich and some fruit! Maybe I will pack something for them and just worry about what the adults will eat. Thanks for the suggestions!

We loved the Basil Mozz sandwich at Main St Bakery. Our 5yo was happy with is Uncrustable PB&J!

I second Columbia Harbour House for sandwiches - their tuna sandwich (I think it's called anchors aweigh) is delicious!

Columbia Harbor House is my favorite counter service place in MK! Second in the whole World (Sunshine Seasons beats them out for variety in my book).

I have had a sandwich at the Plaza once, but as others have said, it isn't always open, and sometimes when it is, it is so busy! CHH always has lots of room, and has some neat views upstairs of the Haunted Mansion and people watching!

I really liked the roastbeef sandwich at Gasperilla's Grill at the GF. I just didn't care for the salad dressing they put on it. Thankfully, they're freshly prepared in front of you and I was able to ask for mayo instead.

The Plaza is a TS restaurant, not quick-serve. Very good sandwiches, but not to go.

I've never been to CHH only because the seating is upstairs, and with strollers it's just not convenient. I believe there is seating down stairs, but limited. It's just always been crowded when we went and decided to pass on it....

My boys love to dine at Pinochio's in Fantasyland. They split a pizza and I've heard the panini sandwich is very good. Plus the kids can watch the Small World Boats pass by from the large window.

The pastries at the Main Street Bakery are delicious. The sandwiches look like they might be decent. I just prefered Gasparilla's Grill at the GF as they are prepared to order.

It's not listed on the menu, but Gasparilla's Grill also serves grilled cheese sandwiches. My boys love grilled cheese and it's a fairly large sandwich that can easily be shared between two kids.

Not on your list, but I love the sandwiches at Captain Cook's at the Poly. They're different from what I've found elsewhere, and they're yummy.

At the MK I'd go with Columbia Harbour. :goodvibes
