We want to buy tickets to go see a hockey game while we are in Orlando. But on the website for the Canadians we only can get the tickets delivered to our home 48 hrs prior to the game:scared1:

We are going to be in Orlando a week before the game, so we cannot wait for the tickets here at home in Montreal.

As anyone done this? Do you have a suggestion???

Thanks!!!;)

Buy them through the Lightnings web site or ticketmaster - they arrive at your door about a week after you purchase them.

Or, I would not buy them before hand and buy from a scalper there. We went and watched the LEafs play the Panthers a couple of years ago and I bought tickets before I went ($100 for 2 front row 2nd level seats) and I could have bought them at the arena on game night for like $25 total!

Not sure if it is the same for Lightning games, but hockey is not that big in Florida.

I know I could by via their web site but it says that we will receive the tickets only 48 hrs before the game:confused3

When I just tried to purchase tickets for that game the first option I was given was to print my ticket right now??

I looked on the ticketmaster.com website.

I used the willcall option a couple of times. Is this still available? I have also called the box office direct and got better deals and better seats, sometimes they have deals or least they did before they won the cup!

My DH ordered tickets to the Tampa vs Boston game through Ticketmaster and requested that they mail the tickets to our home address. We received them a couple weeks later. Hope this helps!

Bonjour Blanche Neige!

You misread the delivery method for Customers in Canada. It says that the tickets will be mailed and delivered to you NO LATER than 48 hours before the game. If you order the tickets today, they will be sent out in a few days, (after they get the money from the credit card co.). I've purchased tickets to Bruins games through Ticketmaster and have received the tickets the following week. The game you want to see is in December, so there would be no problem getting your tickets by mail.

P.S. My Québecois wife is a Habs fan, so we will be at the Bruins-Canadiens game in Boston, in April 2009. Unfortunately, we (Bruins fans) will be out-numbered by the Canadiens fans in our own arena. :-(

we bought red wings tix to see the avs in the playoffs, bought thru Detroit's official RW website & picked up @ will call, no prob

So glad my problem is solve:worship:

I emailed the Tampa Bay Lightning and they sold me tickets!!!!:cool1:

And because we are 13, that makes us a group so I got a better rate and no fees what so ever:banana:

Can't wait to see our wonderfull Habs beat the Lightning:rotfl: :rotfl:

We have gone to Tampa from Orlando twice in the last year for hockey games and both times we took a chance and bought tickets from scalpers. Last March for Flyers game we paid $60 USD for each ticket (face value $120). Last month for a preseason game against Pittsburgh, we paid $20 for similar seats. Probably wouldn't get that good a price for a Habs game. The guy we bought from told us he always sell out of Canadiens tickets.

Might want to try scalpers in the future.

John

Hey FrenchSnowWhite

Will you be at the Dec 30th game?? We have tickets too, ordered thru Tickets Now, received no problems. We are in section 129 row E. My youngest son and I are Lightning Fans, especially Vincent Lecavalier, and my oldest son and husband are Canadiens fans. See you at the game. I will be wearing my Team Canada Lecavalier jersey!!! GO LIGHTNING

Oh, I feel a little disappointed reading this. :sad1: We will be in Miami just after Xmas and I just purchased 6 ticket to the Canadiens/Panthers game for the 6 of us. I paid $100 each (5th row seats) and I thought that was really great until I read this. It's a surprise for my DH and his parents and it would be impossible for all 6 of us to go to a Canadiens game here in MTL ($$$).

My DH just asked me this week to look at how much the tickets are for the game in Fla. while we're there (which freaked me out because I already have them and I don't want him to buy some also as a surprise  ) and then he said, "forget it, we'll probably get better prices from a scalper on the night of". Sounds like he may have been right, and I paid way too much. :sad2:

At least we're going, right? And I probably wouldn't have been able to get 6 tix seated together from a scalper, right? Make me feel better, please. I feel like I just wasted $785 (tix + tax + delivery + exchange rate). when I could have paid less than half if I had just waited - but I wanted them for their b-day surprises (dh Oct., dmil & dfil in Dec.). Uugh!, so upset at myself right now!

I did the same thing nosy parker, that is why I know better now.

I thought because it was the Leafs and a lot of Canadians travel to Florida that the game would be sold out. It was not even close, there was maybe 8000 fans in attendance. And over 3/4 of them were Leaf fans.

I just went with the attitude that it was something I wanted to do and I wanted to know I had seats and the seats I wanted.

Remember, it is still a deal when you compare it to going to games here in Canada.

Thanks guys! Ya know I'm just going to have to be happy about it anyway ;) I figure we are seated together and five rows from the ice. Nothing wrong with that! I still paid less than face value for them. I also thought that since it's the Canadiens (the team) playing and many Canadians (the people) are in Miami at Xmas time, the tickets wouldn't be easy to get either. That's what you get for living in Mtl - crazy, crazy, hockey city! All games are sellouts, no matter what. There is no way I could have paid for all six of us to go watch a hockey game here. Much less 5 rows from the ice  would've cost me at least double :scared1: It's insane. The average family of four can't do it. It's a minimum $500 - $600 night for so-so seats.

So instead of complaining I'll just :goodvibes
